They got Xbox. But I do miss their phones from the 2010s. I personally liked it more than androids OS

Came from a 12 pro max and the 14PM is so much better so your assumption is wrong

Thank you for the meaningful dialogue. I agree with your first premise. As far as the rest, that is subjective. For some, who use their phone to listen to music, watch videos or comment on Reddit that may be true. It’s subjective. At the other end of the spectrum, if you own a small business your smartphone is a pocket computer. It connects you to your clients and business partners. It’s a payment processing tool bringing in revenue. It’s with you 24 hours a day and you cannot risk it being damaged or not working. There is an ROI just like a relationship. That’s why you’ll see a range of answers to this question.

I don’t know how long it’s been going on for you, but mine has been acting up the past four days. When mine was showing SOS, I had to contact Verizon to fix it. They had to reactivate my eSIM. I’m still having problems though and can only make or receive calls while in airplane mode using Wi-Fi.

Reply to comment by Onion_rings_ in Folks, I am first time iPhone user. I am just loving the experience so far(14 pro max). I bought the leather cover as well. So wanted you opinions if AppleCare is worth it, it’s quite expensive to be honest by Onion_rings_
Yes and no. If you don’t leave finger prints on the protector it’ll be just fine. Lots of people in this sub has shared their lens cracking so I think it’s a great investment. Screen protectors on the other hand I always go for the eBay 5 for like $10. I hardly drop my phone so I don’t see the point in spending $10+ on a single protector that’s just me though

Universal back button
Google assistant
Google keyboard
Long screen shots
Scheduled text message. I know there a shortcut to do this on iOS, but it is far from the same.
Notifications. How apple hasn’t fixed notifications to something better is beyond me.
Call screen and Messages intercepting junk messages.
Split screen
Interactive widgets
I miss android, but the iPhone also does good things as well. I tend to think that android is a little more intuitive and easier to use because you can set it up the way you want to use it. With iOS you are caged in doing things the way apple wants you to do them. If you are ok with this, iPhone is king of the hill.

Have to see the sales in Africa and Asia.
It may be the iPhone sells better in Q3 in those areas where there aren’t holidays.

And that's fine. But there are a lot of different ways to read that chart is my point. Wasn't here to piss on Apple, just the article. But so many iBros instantly take offense.

Thank you for the write up, I really appreciate it! The back button is looking like a common theme around here, and luckily I already use a VPN.

Agreed, google assistant is definitely better. Having said that, I never used it much except to occasionally start a navigation while driving, schedule an occasional reminder and make the odd hands free text or call. In that context both systems do what I need. I never did delve into anything deeper than that on my pixel although I was aware of the other stuff.

I think the Q3 launch being close to the holidays benefits apple more

10 best-selling smartphones of 2021 https://www.thenationalnews.com/business/technology/2022/03/08/revealed-10-best-selling-smartphones-of-2021/
The only Samsung on worldwide top 10 was the A12, a cheap one. iPhone took the first five spots, none of them being a cheap one.
This https://www.phonearena.com/news/iphone-13-galaxy-s22-ultra-sold-well-april-2022_id140908 is from April 2022. iPhone 13 had been around for half a year, Samsung S22 for just two months (end of February). iPhone 13, 13 pro and 13 pro max were still on top three spots, S22 on fifth.

Samsung leads in market share, apple is the only one with annual growth in the positive. That’s a much more important metric IMO

You realize Microsoft is the most diversified of all the tech companies, right? Office and windows aren’t even two of their biggest businesses or growth generators.
