I bought apple care+ but that because I live in west London where everyones phone gets stolen.

Got a 13 Pro Max and I wish just got the Pro. Pro Max size gets annoying.

Yeah 42 in tv is for when your doing a #2 in the bathroom now. My 55in feels small now so will throw that in the bedroom and get a projector at some point.

Yea.. hope it comes back. I've noticed businesses are pitching tvs to sell "bigger", "better" too more than ever. I was looking for a 42" recently and it was in the smallest size category (an obvious subconscious hint to buy bigger). Part of it is the engagement of course, which is almost hypnotic with digital displays and therefore good for business.

Lock those eyes on the screen.. right. Another mosquito flies into the light.

A few things I miss dearly:

1. Keyboard
2. Voice typing (accuracy, punctuation, grammar etc.)
3. Phone functionality (Call screening, Hold for me)
4. Notifications
5. Astrophotography (Pixel specific)
6. Search. No suggestions and auto-fill when searching. Great for searching within the phone but always a multi-step process to search the web unless I launch Safari and search there.
7. Universal back gesture
8. Lastly and in general, I found Pixel phones are "smarter" than iPhones with built-in AI and ML sprinkled through out the phone.

You didn't ask, but the things I love about iPhone:

1. Widgets - better looking

2. FaceID

3. Visual transitions and animations

4. Battery on standby

So when you call an iPhone the default voicemail is different than other phones. I guess I don’t specifically know which brand it is, but it was not his traditional iPhone voicemail lady

how would you know if it's an android voicemail? does voicemail work differently in the us, does it get stored on the phone? where I'm from it gets stored by the carrier.

I don’t mind it at all, if any company does this well, it’s Apple. I just hope it works well with cases.

It's actually not.. lol. In fact, not even close. You seem to have a hard time wrapping your head around what an assumption is. When someone buys a phone, you know nothing more than that they bought a phone. Implying that you somehow know their mind and what they care about is absurd. Once again, you're not going to win an argument with someone by making more assumptions than they are (just as a general rule of thumb).

Since the iPhone 14 series still uses a lightning port, you can use your old chargers -- they just won't charge at the maximum rate. There's nothing wrong with this, and it's arguably ever-so-slightly better for the battery. Fast charging can generate heat, and heat degrades the battery faster. Using the old chargers generates less heat. However, whether or not this makes a big difference in the long run is arguable (I'd argue that letting the battery percentage go below 20% has a bigger effect upon battery longevity).

To answer your question about chargers: any quality charger should be good. In the case of USB C, you need a 20W or larger charger but, since you have a PM, anything above 30W is wasted unless you also have something like a Macbook that can also use it.

I’m comming from 12 mini and idea of buying 14 pro max would have killed me :) Even 14 pro is bigger that I would want to be :)

Is your phone updated? I had this problem on a 14 pro max, I updated to 16.0.3 I believe and it stopped immediately

In recent times the small phones released have not achieved sales levels expected so doubt we will get many more. Maybe we might get a foldable phone some day.
