I’m someone who uses the accessibility screen reader a lot so that I can “read” things while I’m walking. But this app just makes the whole experience so much better.

My primary use case for it is reading webnovels. They’re published online, usually one chapter per webpage. So what I do is write my own web scraper to extract the novel into a text document that I convert into an .epub and import it into this app. Suddenly I’ve got a full audiobook, and the best thing is I don’t have to tap next page and restart the screen reader every chapter.

I know and ok with that. Couldn’t find anything visually better and simpler except superhuman (30$\month).

Honestly I don’t mind, I liked the feel of the home button when I had my iPhone 8. Just don’t remove the charging port.

Odd the on the import bit. Just listened to Connected the other day and Federico Vitici mentions that drag and drop really shines with this app.

Apple chargers are cleaner… a normal transformer will convert AC to DC then lower the voltage to 5DC and thats it, call it a day.

An apple transformer will convert AC to filtered High voltage DC then it will converted back to low voltage AC and converted to filtered low voltage DC … is a double step, thats why they are expensive; and their voltage is cleaner and consistent with no spikes… smooth voltage, since the secondary transformer tells the primary to regulate voltage… you always get smooth as butter good old filtered dc power.

With that said, get apple branded.. if not, then anker or Belkin or mophie are probably the next best thing.

But in reality any transformer will do.

+1 on Anker chargers. I currently use them with my 14PM, M1 12.9, & Mini 6 and used them with previous devices.

I hope they’ll have smaller ones again in the future. With a disability affecting my reach and the strength of my hand I really can’t use those big phones. It’s an accessibility issue.

It’s honestly the best investment you can make if you want and plan to use your phone for a very long time. If you drop it it’s WAY cheaper with apple care i think its something like 25 bucks instead of 250 to fix the screen. And it’s like 600 to fix the back without AC.

If you get apple care, I would recommend paying the extra 3 bucks and get theft and loss protection. It’s a very expensive device and it’s a great investment IMO.

I have a 14 pro with AC LOSS AND THEFT and it makes me feel so much more comfortable about using it in public because if it gets stolen it’s only 109 bucks to replace.

Oh how I understand you. Notifications are a mess, and yes it’s about time we get some proper notification control in iOS.

From 0 to 100% it doesn’t. Also as said some 3rd party brands are actually better.

it feels to me like an evolution of the notes app. Or to put it another way, maybe they were working on adding this functionality to Notes but it ended up making more sense to make it its own separate app

I moved from a Pro Max to a regular Pro. I honestly haven’t really thought about it what I am missing with the larger screen. Websites, etc work just fine. I even read books (with large font!) on it just fine (just lots of page turning…).

I have really big hands but I still like how much better this fits.

I haven't tested it but i watched the part of the event where they introduced it. It looks like a digital whiteboard, which is something i've wanted for awhile. I'm hoping my family and I can make use of it for the same kinds of things we'd use a whiteboard for, like keeping track of when foods were cooked and chore rotations
