I was afraid that it’d be too big, having used mostly regular Pro series, but after handling it for a while at the store, it was not. Also, I need the battery life.

Dang, I was really hoping it was just going to be a whiteboard for me to throw stuff at. Kinda more like OneNote meets Squid (an awesome whiteboard app for Android)

Cool I found it , I have quite a time to buy it because I have just purchased the phone .

I like carplay. I like how iphone works with AppleTV. I like ApplePay.
I also have an old ipod touch connected to a stereo rig in my office. I can use my iphone as a remote control for the ipod. This is an odd use case though.
I guess I like the ecosystem more than I like the phone. But the phone is a central component of the ecosystem.
As far as the phone itself is concerned, I could probably live just as happily with an Android. Android probably has a good equivalent to everything I listed above. But the iphone does everything I want it to do. They last for years and are supported seemingly forever.
My first smartphone was a Samsung S5 (i think). I didnt have it two years before OS couldnt be updated and apps got buggy. It wasn't a particularly well made phone either. I switched to iphone mostly because thats what my work issued. The iphone worked well, and I didn't want to carry two chargers. So I defected and haven't had a reason to consider switching back to Android.

I’ve got the theft cover too now.
I had bank insurance but when I got my phone stolen in Spain I found out how inadequate it was. I run a business and needed my phone to take bookings.

Can you still do Wi-Fi calling with your domestic number abroad? I’ve never actually checked.

I don’t want to be that person walking around with a cracked screen so I think i rather pay for the AppleCare. It costs less than a subway sandwich would cost me if I ate one every month so whatever.

So you have an expensive phone but you’re balking at 15 dollars a month to have peace of mind if anything adverse happens to it? Anyway, to answer your question, YES. AppleCare is definitely worth it.

I suppose for someone who uses Reddit a lot, it probably makes the experience better. I personally can't stand scrolling on my phone and seeing all these repetitive ads, and I know Apollo would get rid of the ads, but like you, I'm not a fan of the layout, so I stick with the regular app and deal with stupid ads.

Hmm interesting. Maybe another reason to get one of the 13 phones since they can use both. Thanks!

I'll give you the video portion. That's awful on the default Reddit app. I still paid for Apollo so I can support small devs

Reply to Esims question by Normal-Question-1994
In my opinion, eSIM is a huge pain in the a**. I bought a 14 Pro at launch to test it out, and had to activate the eSIM. That part was no problem. HOWEVER- since I decided I didn't want to keep the phone and go back to using my 13 Pro, that is where the problems really began. Instead of simply swapping a SIM card as I would have done in the past, it ended up being a 45 minute visit at the carrier store trying to get an eSIM moved over to my old phone- after that simply failed, they had to give me a new SIM card that was activated on my account to use on my 13 Pro (since the old SIM that was still in it would no longer work, having been transferred over to the 14 Pro's eSIM).

The ability to quickly and easily swap between phones is a thing of the past with eSIMs.

I’m on a 12 mini but not sure if the battery is that different to upgrade to the 13 mini. Is it that much better?

I have it but for some reason it doesn’t update Amazon tracking. Like I have to go into the app and refresh and it’ll eventually notify me about updates long after my package has arrived

Apple just makes replacements so painless too.
