Oh not at all. I don't know what it's called, the standard UI/UX for iOS apps like WhatsApp, Settings, and others, but Apollo uses the same UI/UX principles to make browsing reddit seem very very famliar on a mobile interface. Think of it like if Apple ever made a reddit client, it would look almost exactly like Apollo.

Reply to People who have moved from a larger iPhone to the iPhone mini, what was your experience? Would you recommend it? by NMLWrightReddit
Went from Xs to the 13 Mini. Best choice for my small hands. The phone has the perfect size for me. The screen is big enough for everything, but the phone fits everywhere and perfectly into my hand.
I really hate that there is no 14 mini anymore, because whay phone should I get next then? I'll keep my 13 mini until it is unusable, but after that? Please Apple, bring newer models as mini as well.
ONe downside to the mini tho: it's missing the macro lens that I need a lot. Good thing my better half has a 14 Pro, so I can just borrow that one.

WhatsApp recently added a feature for transferring chats from Android to iOS. It’s a button under the chat settings on iOS, not sure if it’s in the same spot on Android. There also the Move to iOS app that will transfer your chats for you. Either option should transfer your chats seamlessly.
Your warranty will be the same wherever you go, but I do recommend getting AppleCare+ for damage protection ($9/month).
And yes, I’d recommend both the AirPods Pro 2 and Apple Watch. The new AirPods Pro’s sound so good and the volume adjustment feature works incredibly well. Highly recommend.

I used to download more RAM on my PCs back in the late 90s. Lol

Genuinely asking: why is Apollo app considered better? I thought it was a wrapper around Reddit

Reply to Folks, I am first time iPhone user. I am just loving the experience so far(14 pro max). I bought the leather cover as well. So wanted you opinions if AppleCare is worth it, it’s quite expensive to be honest by Onion_rings_
AppleCare+ is so worth it and paying monthly for it makes it quite affordable. Also if you live in an area of high theft, AppleCare with Theft + Loss protection is amazing. I just had my month old 14 Pro Max stolen out of my pocket last week and they processed my claim (after $150 deductible) and sent me a new one in just a few days.
Aside from that, even regular AppleCare+ is worth it just for the damage protection. You get unlimited front or back glass repairs for only $29. That’s a great deal.

Reply to What features in iOS 16 are available for the iPhone 14, but not available for the iPhone 13? by ProfessionalDesk7296
Why the insistence by everyone that there cannot be a hardware foundation for a feature being listed to answer the question? The OP didn’t specify there could be no hardware basis for the difference, they just asked what you can do with an iPhone 14 that you can’t do with an iPhone 13 because they are curious what the difference is between the two phones. Every difference in what iOS 16 can do on the 14 that it can’t on the 13, except the new wallpaper, is based on a hardware change. Eliminate those and there is no point to the question or the answers.

I recently had my iPhone stolen and didn’t have Apple care + and I wish I had, I now have it with my new iPhone, trust me, you don’t think you need it and till it’s to late. Pay for it, it’s the best advise I can give.

I always get apple care + and so far have never used it once. But i will be very annoyed if i stop paying apple care + and then drop or misplace my iphone 14 pro max.

/r/MarvisApp. Pro mode for Apple Music. Customize metadata in lists (playlist, album list) and mini player/full screen player; also, smart rules to whittle down lists. So basically what you do is, you make a section for all the songs in your library (boring) and then you use rules to make a smart playlist that changes dynamically.
$8 USD, one time fee (also has a $5 Last.fm add-on, but I don't need/use it).

BaconReader pro for Reddit - something I used to use on Android that I bought for my iPhone when I switched over as I’m used to it.
Unified Remote (iAP purchase to full) - another Android app I used to use to remote control computers with my phones touchscreen using the unified remote server. Great for HTPC setups.
Vinegar extension for Safari - found out about this on this subreddit. Used to use NewPipe on Android for listening to YouTube videos in the background and after seeing all the praise that Vinegar got on this sub, bought it for my iPhone and iPad to do exactly that with it. Blocks ads, enables seamless background playback so it’s a perfect replacement for my old NewPipe usage.
FL Studio Mobile - GarageBand is great but I simply prefer the way Fruity Loops Studio Mobole works on iOS and iPad Os. The fact that Image Line let you use any sound packs bought on Windows and Android across all devices is great too.

You’re fine, just turn your physical sim off. I have a physical and esim and usually turn the physical one off (it’s got 5GB of free data, would be helpful if my iPhone ever broke for example)
Everything will go through your esim then as if it’s the only sim

I don't get the Apollo hype. They layout is actually worse than the regular Reddit app imo

I have been testing it and the two major complains I have (considering it’s the first beta) are that it’s not possibile to share items to it, but only to import them from within the app, and that the writing tools are different from the ones in the Notes app (which has more options).
I’m looking forward at using it for research and brainstorming. I’ve been using a few apps to do the same but having a native option with the iPad first in mind could be a game changer.
Comparing it to other apps:
- Miro and FigJam are built with desktop in mind and then adapted for iPadOS, drawing on them is often not smooth and their integration with the OS is not great.
- Concepts is great but almost too much. I don’t want to waste time selecting colours, tools, etc. Also, not available on Mac.
- Muse is almost perfect for what I do but some gestures annoy the hell out of me (no zoom options, weird drag and dropping). Also, boards are not viewable on iOS.

You were downvoted but all those are valid criticisms. It’s already $10 for the iPhone version then you gotta pay an extra $70 to have it on all your other devices. Also, exclusive to the Apple ecosystem but many of us still use Windows/Linux for work. It’s a great app but it does have its downsides.
