This is the first new Windows feature I’ve cared about in a decade. Good stuff.

Reply to Is it worth to use Apple Care+ instead of carrying a bulky case / protective glass? by KGRNxo
I value my time, even though I have AppleCare, I don’t want to deal with getting a new fucking phone and all the shenanigans that entails, just use a case, and give it no more mind

I’m just bad, I literally have the 14 Pm (just got it, upgraded from 13 Pm) And I use like 2 of the features it has 🤣 These phones can do alllllll this cool shit and I use it for texting and a camera 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I don’t know much about Siri like I said I rarely use her I wish I could help more.

I turned her back on for features because my partner brought up other positives. The music issue is a hard pass if I can’t figure out a solution. It seems I always have issues when I give Siri some leeway

I actually do not know. I don’t really use Siri, and I use Spotify so I don’t waste space with music.

Type the number in a note & copy it.

I feel it, but there has to be some feature right? Or did they do away with it recently?

Yep. Absolutely.
Well, that an the cheap phone I bought to run some tests for a friend.
But yeah, the TV experience is absolutely the reason.
Of course, I'm also kind of pissed at Google for selling my soul to the NSA and stuff like that. You know how it is, once you get betrayed by a company it just starts to snowball.
Yeah, I should have taken it to r/android or whatever.

How would I know? Probably, considering this is a notch phone and there’s only one model that doesn’t support live text

This isn’t true at all, not sure where you pulled that from. Live Text works from the Xr / Xs and up.

So you’re judging the Android OS off your experience with a smart TV, which may or may not have shitty specs?

I have a Sony TV and don’t think I’ve ever once set up Google TV. Immediately hooked up my TV and called it a day.

> It’s not even about believing, its the truth. Google started a whole campaign calling out apple for not helping to create a standard or utilize rcs.
Well yeah, Google likes to spread propaganda that trashes their competitors, and you fell for their marketing campaign. The basic fact is Apple passing messages through Google's servers would make Apple user data far less secure. And Apple makes most of its money selling high priced products, where Google makes most of their money selling your data. It makes no sense for Apple to betray their user base like that, when privacy is one of their main selling points.

Something is definitely wrong with it. Sure, any new iPhone has to update data (indexing) but that should at most result in a worse battery life for a few days. Get it checked by Apple or a repair shop.

Indexing has nothing to do with CPU power. It’s all about optimizing a users restore with the updated OS, recompiling new and old data files to ensure smooth operation this process no matter how fast a CPU does indeed take time. Indexing has and always will be a thing, it’s been proven time and time again and can take from a day to roughly a week depending on how large a restore the user is coming from or if the device is setup as new.
