This only works for me if there is no caller ID name associated with the call. In this case, the number appears much larger, in the same location that you see "WIRELESS CALLER" in the screenshot. In the case of my screenshot, I can long press on "WIRELESS CALLER" and copy that text, but I can't copy the phone number. Are you seeing the same thing?

Yes, but SMS is antiquated. iMessage, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and other similar services offer some important features that are very beneficial. The first among them is that that are end-to-end encrypted. This means that no one can see the contents of the messages except the senders and recipients. For example, if Facebook wanted to see the messages, even if someone was compelling them to, like the government, or the mob kidnaps an employee or whatever, it's simply not possible.

Also, a proper digital messaging service can handle messages as robust packages of information, with a format that is extensible, not just a raw message. It would be able to better handle group messaging scenarios and threads. You can get feedback if messages have been delivered. It would be able to better handle network interruptions. It allows for fun stuff like reactions and stuff. They could build better ways to block and report spam and harmful content.

SMS wasn't designed to handle these sorts of things

The phone number in the screenshot is some lowlife spam company.

It seems like if a call comes with some form of called ID (in this case, "WIRELESS CALLER"), then you can copy that name, but you can't select and copy the phone number. Am I missing an easy way to do this? The only way I see how is that I first have to save it as a contact and then open the contact details and copy the number from there

Most iPhone reviews state that battery life is the platform's weakness, not its strength...

Here's an alternative way to look at it: I have a comparable sized phone and battery in the SE 2022, and I'm a light enough user that I only charge it 2-3x a week when it drops to 50-60%. I have a shortcut to notify me when it reaches 80% (for ideal battery health), so it's usually only on the charger for ~20 minutes at a time.

So, even though a Mini isn't great for battery life, it's also a small enough battery that quick charges throughout the day will top it off with minimal downtime.

Depends on the model, and depends on how much you value hassle free repairs. Depends on how willing you are to carry around a busted phone to save a few bucks. Also depend on how much you trust your case.

If you break the back glass of your iPhone 14 Pro you are absolutely fucked and cannot get it fixed for less than $500.....but replacing the back glass on an iPhone 14 is only $169. Replacing the front glass on the basic iPhone 14 is $279, but on the 14 Pro Max it is $379. If you go with the case, you had better damn well trust that it will protect both the front and back without fail.

If you have AppleCare+, repairing the front or back glass on any model is only $29 per incident.

I asbsolutely love going without a case, so I just pay the $100-120/year and call it a day. When you get the back glass replaced they pretty much give you an entirely new phone, so I've gotten two replacements for a relatively small deductible. I never have to worry about dropping or mishandling the phone.

The only thing I can say for certain is not to pay for carrier-provided insurance (unless it includes AppleCare+). Deductibles are expensive, and they will not repair or replace with the same speed as an Apple Store.

I guess you also ought to consider how close you are to an Apple Store (or Apple-approved repair centers like Best Buy). You will have to take your phone to these locations for repairs (or mail it off if there aren't any near year).

I believe there's an app that lets you install unofficial apps without being in the app store, sadly its a chinease app and you need to install it in the computer, connect the iphone with the computer and install using that app.

talking about connecting i believe you can install it in your computer and connect your computer to your phone?

or maybe you can load the app in xcode in computer and load it into your phone using xcode in yoyur computer, i did this once. sadly xcode is 9gb and takes like 3 hours to install. probably an overkill
