Lol. All I got from the headline for a second was “Windows Phone” and I’m like, they’re trying it again?

UK here, have stuck with Three/iD for the time being. Wildly inconsistent coverage if we're talking nationally, but local to me they're good enough to justify their (very) low price.

It would be better to have a standard controlled by an independent industry body, not Apple

We don’t need to get rid of iMessage just make it accessible on other platforms.

I have tried it today. It syncs your contacts. You can then send an imessage to a contact through your iphone. Sent message appears on my iphone under the contact. Worked OK.

It’s amazing isn’t it. My 12 Pro Max is on 87% battery health and I’ve just ticked over 7 hours SOT with 32% left

Unless you’re jailbroken…you can’t.
Apps cant be run on iOS that aren’t signed by Apple, AKA apps that are downloaded directly through the App Store and installed to your phone through the App Store.

I really wish the industry would get together to come up with a new cross-platform messaging standard so we could get rid of iMessage

If you're concerned about the battery life, are considering switching to iPhone, and can move the budget slightly up, iPhone 14 Plus would be the best pick. You might also get a good deal considering Apple didn't sell as many iPhone 14 Pluses as they expected. Telling by real-life experience, iPhone 14 Plus lasts about twice as much as iPhone 13 Mini.

It might be a tad weird but as you see the angry birds.app there I want to like play it how do I do that without going into apples hidden files.

I just upgraded from the iPhone 12 mini to the iPhone 14 Pro. Before the mini I had an iPhone SE 2020. Can’t go wrong with any of them, it’s personal preference. What cell carrier are you going to use?

Just got a 14 pro in the space black color you mentioned. Nothing yet as I have a case on it. Prior to this I had a 13 Pro Max and didn’t see any markings at all on the sides or back. I would often take the case off while at home.

After a quick YouTube search for battery drain tests, I found that the 13 Mini generally lasts 6.5 hours with nonstop use. The S21 generally lasts 7 hours with nonstop use. Your S21 has better battery life. You'd better off just getting a 13, or 14, both of which will last much longer than the S21, basically twice as long.
It might be a little more money, but the phone itself will last for several years without slowing down, so you won't need to upgrade as fast as you would with a Samsung. Samsungs are great, but their lifespan is much shorter than iPhone.

iPhones don't "just works" like most like to claim.
The software limitations are a joke for something marketed as a premium device

lmao no (from 13 mini user). I’m thinking of switching to a bigger phone because 13 mini’s battery life sucks real hard. I can drain the battery life with like 4hrs of screen time according to screen time in settings, which is ridiculous to me. When I was traveling (so I had to constantly look at maps and stuff) a couple days ago it literally shuts off at 3/4pm everyday cuz of drained battery.

Two years, but only one generation newer in terms of processor, etc.

Definitely not the mini if you want battery life. It'll be fine for the first couple weeks but after that it'll go to shit. I have a 12 mini and I'm at 20% by 3pm while being in low power mode and not using 5g and many other battery saving measures lmao
