Same, I have a case and screen protector. There are 2 places around the frame where the paint is off. So, it is concerning.

I have the deep purple and don’t have chipping. But I’ve also always used a case.

But like, you charge it through the day or something?
I don't think they are necessarily haters, chemistry in a battery can change heavily with slight changes like the weather where the phone tends to be.

Eh I wouldn’t say that. My pixel 5 had better battery life than my 13 mini.

Supposedly there are some caveats with this, such as not being able to send images. Has anyone tested this yet?

I'm not convinced. If I look at youtube videos of the iPhone 13 Pro, it's clearly a glass finish (no matte finish). Eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk-3DJpd9_U So why would they give it a matte finish on a cheaper phone... I have the feeling they're using plastic.

Tieng to iMessage is not necessarily new.
You have been able to do this with Intel Unison app.

I'd guess that this will use the same mechanism which is Bluetooth.

I’ve been an insider since before windows 11 was officially released, and I only ever saw it for Android.

It’ s full glass buddy ,it feels like platic bcs of the mate finish. And the sides are painted aluminium. Don’t worry about it.

Soon? This has been out already now.
Even worked from my Windows 10 PC when I modified the widows app store bundle to allow install on lower versions of Windows.

It will be interesting. Since iMessage is probably tight nit closed programming. Maybe as sms? But that would be interesting to see what they do!

Maybe there’s not even an iMessage at all. Just conventional text messages.

why would you consider the 12 Mini when the 13 Mini exists?
12 series has shit thermals w/ mediocre A14 and the power hungry Qualcomm x55 modem, 13 series significantly improves on those shortfalls

Don't listen to the haters about Mini battery life. It'll get me through an entire day and a half, sometimes 2 whole days. Moderate/light use, plenty of fb.
13 mini battery life is twice as good as SE3 and as good as the regular 12 and that got rave reviews. It's only "bad" relative to newer larger phones.
Even a 12 mini blows the best android out of the water in terms of real-use battery life.

I’m a 13 mini user. The battery is ok. Not horse shit like old iPhones. Not awesome like the 13/14 pro max. It’s ok. I use my phone for couple hours and I have a MagSafe stand right on my desk, so I’m always charging it.
But boy, let me tell you when I travel my feelings get mixed. It’s super fast to charge it. It’s a huge bonus. But if I rely on my phone to be my main computer for a day, it kinda let you down - so have a power bank around.
The size is perfect for me. My last phone was iPhone 11. The only thing I really miss is the battery.
I will hold my 13 mini for more years to come. But my next phone will be a 17 pro, or whatever it is in the time. I’ll trade the size for the battery.

I'm curious how they're going to tie into iMessage. That's been the Achille's Heel for cross-platform for a while now.

Yup. Although I have iPhone 14 pro max but it was my fault as I dropped it on a rubble road. Immediate thing I noticed after the fall was cracked tempered glass and a bit of scratch on the case (apple silicone). Later when I removed the case and saw the phone frame carefully is when I noticed that a bit of paint was chipped. 4 months later, and I still feel the frustration.
