Don’t think so, yeah it was definitely alarming. At least it wasn’t using that much yesterday. Some serious bug or something. But still making 10mb disappear off my data plan to “messaging services” every message I sent yesterday. Gonna talk to apple when I get the chance. In no world does a text based iMessage use that much data.

You know Apple doesn’t read Reddit right

Also, sms isn’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future. Advances in spam detection have been getting better, but so have the scam artists.

Do you have old iMessages that are syncing? There’s no way one text only iMessage can use up 100mb, it’s not possible. If the message is a video or something that makes sense. If you’re upset about it, just disable iMessage in settings and use regular sms.

Or if you’re up for it, do a full reset and restore of your phone - that should fix whatever is going on.

Prices can range but I’ve not seen any reputable ones less than Apple charges - and at least their work is warranties and official (doesn’t void your warranty and consumer law rights).

Same day with Apple is something you may have to negotiate with them. I do believe it’s possible they could accommodate that.

It’s something you get used to. When I first got my iPhone X a few years back, it was the only thing I looked at (probably also because of all the branding and hype about it at that time). Within a few weeks I forgot about it and nowadays I don’t notice it.

No, very unlikely Touch ID as you know it in the home button will ever be back. Possible that in power button Touch ID may hold on a little while longer (currently in some iPad models). I would not expect under display Touch ID any time soon either.

As someone that has a 13 pro and an A7IV there are pros and cons for taking pictures on both. iPhone really surprises me sometimes and other times it’s just so far off of my Sony it’s not funny. iPhone is no mirrorless replacement but it can get some good content and it’s usually the most available and least intrusive.

I’m still not quite understanding your concern.

Your hypothetical iPhone 15 USBC come with its own usbc cable for charging. The 14 comes with usbc to lightning so the outlet end is still usbc. As long as you have a usbc power adapter, you’re good.

Unless you are thinking you’ll be borrowing other people’s cables or lending your own fairly often?
