I still use my iphone X, haven't noticed any major glitches or slow down on iOS 16. Battery got worse, it's at 87%, but still pretty usable, have to take a power bank for longer trips though. I don't use tiktok, maybe that app is getting bloated and it runs worse on older phones, idk.

I think maybe it's my unit. I tried DUNE https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dune/id1291851950 and just after a couple of minutes it gets crazy hot. This is not so graphicaly intense game, but it gets my device runs hot. Girlfriend playing for hours same game and maybe it is warm at best.

I have never used android. But to your point on hotspot, do you only have certain phones that you want to share with? The key is to pair those phone with yours via Bluetooth (just have to do once), then connecting on the hotspot will be much more reliable.

The messages listed are e-mails sent to your [SMS] number. Whether an e-mail can be sent to your SMS number has nothing to do with Apple or Google, but whether your carrier has opened up that gateway. Many carriers have it shut down. Especially outside the US.

OP, does this person text you at other times, or only when you are near their home?
I ask because there have been multiple cases on r/RBI where the person ended up, for example, having carbon monoxide poisoning that made them think things like this were occurring. It would be good to just take that possibility off the table.
