Shows up for me in BC. But we are over 96% green power so it would never work anyways.

Since most people charge their phones over night it doesn’t hurt them if it charged only when clean energy is available.
Would be more interesting to compare that to the additional data transfer caused by the feature.

I don’t know, I think they’re fantastic personally. Very flat frequency response, I use them to reference all my mixes and just to listen to songs in general. If it sounds good in the AirPods it’ll usually sound good anywhere else.

Lol… possibly? I’ll be honest and say it’s not terribly high on my list of things to do today (laundry, groceries, driving my kids to various places lol) it’s likely at sone point I’ll dig into the settings and turn that shit off, just don’t have time right now… so the annoyance will likely continue for a few days ;)

Your likely fine. Apple tests phones for durability from drops even if the external parts are damaged internally it’s quite durable.

They know their market & things that make people mass switch for their new stuff. Maybe someone with an 8 has been holding off to upgrade but will upgrade to a 15 be where of usbc, along with the audience that already upgrades every year or every other year. By staggering out features with an already dedicated customer base, they maintain growth & attract new customers who switch because “Apple adapted xyz feature that was keeping me away from their devices”.
It’s about audience churning for the business and so far they’ve been keeping a steady growth. Also how would usbc help the environment? Is it more eco friendly or something? (If so, I’m unaware of that)
Everyone with androids wants like an award or something for having a phone that already had usbc but the thing is - whenever Apple does something it makes bigger news. Samsung has a keynote but it’s not nearly as popular as apples.

I've just been doing this manually for my phone and laptop. I charge during the day at home when our solar panels are producing electricity, and I refrain from charging at night when most of the grid is powered by gas.

I get this annoying notice but when I’m out and about listening to an audiobook on my AirPods Pro of course I have the volume right up.
Mightychallenge t1_ja45pcw wrote
Lol yes. Your phone will stop charging when it’s full like usual(but not recommended to charge to 100%)

Wouldn't really make a difference considering how much of the Polish grid is powered by coal

if you have an iPhone, they're ok. Noise cancelling in the pros is really good, but again that's on the pros only. Airpods are notoriously well balanced, which if you're into bassy music, you'll have to mess with an eq to get what you're looking for.
If you have an android, don't get them. Get some beats or JBLs.

Nope, deleting the data and cache doesn't always work. I have had apps retain my information even after doing this.

He was specifically referring to browsers. Safari, Chrime and Firefox support this on iOS.
Even besides browsers most apps support it, where it makes sense anyway.

If you are ok with small size , I highly suggest iPhone 13 . Instead of iPhone 14, cause they are practically the same phone, same design, same hardware. You can easily get a new 13 for 2/3 price of iPhone 14. If you can go a bit higher I suggest you to go for iPhone 13 pro max , it has great battery , & 120 hz refresh rate....dynamic island is some thing which looks cool for few weeks , that's it

Not too difficult. There’s ways to trace where exactly your power is coming from.

I remember someone did the math on a windows update that caused computers to use like 0.1-0.5% more power and America basically had to do the equivalent of adding another nuclear power plant to handle that extra power.
Little things add up.
