The two primary reasons I upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro Max was for the Dynamic Island and the upgraded 48 MP camera.

After having my 14 Pro Max for about 4 months now, I’d have to say I could absolutely do without the Dynamic Island. I’m not saying that I dislike it by any means, I actually do love it. It’s a very neat and seamless integration.

However, in my personal experience, I wouldn’t say many of the apps that I use really utilize the Dynamic Island in ways that I thought it would. Honestly, a lot of the apps that have done deep integration with the Dynamic Island charge a subscription fee, and in order to benefit from that integration, you need to pay that subscription fee.

In my everyday use, I would honestly say the only app that I really enjoy having that feature, is when I’m listening to my music in Apple Music. I enjoy being able to expand the Island and control my music without leaving the app that I’m currently using. Otherwise again, I could honestly do without it.

So again, my personal opinion would be to not pick the Pro model solely due to the Dynamic Island. It’s certainly not that amazing of a feature to justify the cost difference based on that feature alone. I do however, believe the cost difference to get the 48 MP camera is indeed worth it. I prefer taking all of my photos and videos in ProRAW and ProRes so that I am able to experience the full beauty of the cameras without all of the post processing that everyone seems to dislike with the iPhone 14.

AirPods are excellent if you're using them with a Mac or iPhone, as there's connectivity advantages (and they're the best OF those that have said connectivity advantages). With a Windows machine or an Android phone they're likely not that good of a choice. Nor if you want the best of the best in terms of sound quality, at a professional level (AirPods are great but audiophiles might want even better)

The airpods 2 pro are arguably the very best overall earbuds you can use with an iPhone. I do not think they are the best that can work with Android tho. But they are better with an iphone than the best android earphone is along with the best android phone. The sound quality is out of this world, feels better than a midrange headset.

I love my watch for these reasons. Especially when I’m home alone I like to have something with me. (They also have fall alert as well.) Toddler-induced sleep deprivation and pregnancy will also destroy your memory and I ping my phone with my watch until I find where I have hidden it (or the toddler did). Also, I hope that you’re on the mend!

As for OP’s question: I use it for controlling our home system (including lights and thermostats), sending messages when my hands are full via my watch, and perhaps most importantly adding groceries to the shared groceries list in reminders.

More or less it would if you leave it ~50% charged when you put it into the box :) Degradation should not be noticeable. iPhone 12 was introduced in 2020 and still is sold by Apple. Manufacturing date won't be year 2023 and the warranty and battery lifetime should be the same as you've bought it in 2020.

Obviously they are marketed well. I’ve had 5 pairs of AirPods so far. Two I damaged was my own fault, so no fault to Apple there.

Gen 1 and 2 were fine, were they amazing? No not really. They worked well and were fluid using them. I would say not worth the money if the cost meant something to you even.

I have some weird shaped ear canals and it’s been hard to find something that fits better than AirPods. This is always hit or miss with people.

I decided to take a chance on the new pros, since they are shaped different and have tips, not something that’s worked out well for me.

They are very good, they fit really well and don’t bother me longterm at all. Sound quality is alright, you’re not getting anything insane in this department but it’s fine. Using and connecting etc is to me really good, I don’t have any complaints here.

Now I drive a truck for a living, so normally if I was going to talk on the phone I’d use an actual headset but I’ve been giving these a try lately and they do an incredible job at cancelling noise for the other caller. This to me is probably the best feature so far followed closely by the comfortability of wear.

As for price, definitely not worth it, I’d apply this to just about anything you can buy here so it’s kind of more can you afford this luxury purchase or do you need this? I don’t think they are terribly priced, just wish for the average person, they were more moderately priced ya know. I can buy a $40 headset off amazon for work that will sound fine and does the job, but doesn’t look all that cool or isn’t fancy.
