I see the “recording concerts is a sin” crowd has come out already. Ignore them.

The concert is probably going to be low light, so the best way to get some good pictures anyway is to shoot in ProRAW(but stay away from 48 MP. The phone should automatically switch to 12MP in low light, but setting it manually will ensure this. 48MP would be higher resolution, but you don’t have the light to drive it.) Shooting in proRAW gives you more breathing room when editing, which can help low light pictures become great anyway. Your main sensor at regular 1x zoom is gonna give you the best images, but you can try the 3x, just know that you’ll have a harder time getting light into it. The .5x might do well too given the amount of light it can bring in. Stay far far away from that 2x option, it’ll not end well.

The #1 most important rule: enjoy the show first. Taking pictures and video is fun and a great way to keep the memory alive, but don’t stress yourself out over it. Have fun!

Think seriously about using iCloud. Any service that can be recovered using recovery questions is only as secure as the answers to those questions.

NYT published an article a couple years ago where a (white hat) hacker looked up the reporter's information (e.g. LinkedIn, high school graduation, ship to address in their public Amazon wish list, etc.), called the "I forgot my password" line, recovered their iCloud account, and remotely locked their Mac and iPhone during the interview.

That's not knocking Apple; I'd imagine there's a Google equivalent. As u/XtremePhotoDesign suggests, it's probably wise to not use the same credential trust for answering a text in a bar and for bank transfers.

That's cool and pretty much how my experiences with Apple's online support staff went, too.

Our local Apple Store staff, though, have apparently been trained to try and deflect as many customer claims as possible. So I, in turn, try to avoid dealing with them as much as possible.

i had gotten a launch iPhoneX - 3 days later i'd left it on the roof of my car and it slid off and got run over. it was in a hard case so the bits were there but it was destroyed.

I made a genius bar appointment for that day and took the credit card to pay the OOW fee ($1000 AU) straight away as my wife was heavily preggers (was due in 3 weeks) and i could not be without a phone.

I go in and they gave me a brand new iPhone X with double the memory i had as thats all they had for no charge telling me to use the money for the baby.

Just don’t film it and enjoy the show. You will watch that shaky, grainy “video” with terrible sound maybe once and will forget about it, but it will forever change your perception of the show, since you will be trying to film it and “not screw up” instead of actually enjoying it.
