Battery does not have to be under 80% for them to replace it (unless it’s warrantied under apple care). I just had my 13 mini battery replaced at 89% because I didn’t want to wait and pay more. Of course he tried to talk me out of it, but I got it done.

Don’t use a short passcode. Mine is twenty digits. Anyone who can figure my code out is impressive indeed. Enable faceID or touchID, and if they fail then go to the bathroom or somewhere else and enter your code to refresh them.
This isn’t hard. Basic precautions.

Yeah I get a lot of scroll issues where it activates small screen mode. So irritating.

Avoid entering your passcode in public if able. Use Face/Touch ID. Don’t let strangers use your phone or leave it lying around unattended. If you want to be even more secure you can use the password option to manually unlock the phone.

Reply to comment by Upbeat-Truck-1833 in My bh dropped to 98% in just one month. How is this possible? by Upbeat-Truck-1833
there you have your answer. those chargers are overkill and shouldn't be used regularly. i've been using a 5w apple charger (the one that came with the iphone 11) and my battery health went down by only 3% in the past 6 months, while just one year of 20w charging drained it from 95 or so to 80 in a year. i've been using a 5w again since last summer and it only went down 3% since august, so i'd say about 1% every 2 months whereas fast charging messed my shit up with 1% per month. it's worth a try in your case as well.

I know I know :( the amount of times I’d hear the other people I worked with get yelled at by angry customers was just absurd. I not once got yelled at in the 4 years I worked there. Like you said, it freaking Apple! Being nice to the customer and helping them as much as possible can only make your retail work/life easier.

Is that what happened to me?!
Went in for my ear speaker being so quiet I couldn’t hear a thing (old iPhone, but I have the same issue with my 11 pro max.)
I was with my two little girls, and had like an hour long wait. They were apologetic, because I had made an appointment. “No worries,” says I. I assumed I’d be waiting anyway. They got my number and I took my girls for a walk and to get some treats from the food court.
The text came in that I was ready to be seen. We go in, and they take my phone for a VERY long time. My girls were having fun playing around with the display iPads, and I was enjoying watching them. The guy helping me was so apologetic, but to be honest I was having a good day.
They eventually came out with a brand new phone for some kind of recall I never knew existed and couldn’t find online.

I don’t get why more employees are like you. They’re acting like their paycheck is determined by getting people to pay for repairs.

Use a separate password for financial apps that is not saved in iCloud Keychain.
Use Face ID or Touch ID.
If you have to enter a passcode in public to unlock your phone, look over your shoulder and hide what you enter.
Use a custom alphanumeric passcode to unlock you phone instead of a 4 or 6 digit PIN: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204060

Never used this device for games, but probably too much screen time on social apps. But as u said, battery change would be good enough for some time
