Yeah, they do this. We took my daughter’s iPhone in for repairs and messed it up so they gave her a same model replacement phone. Also, there was a recall of the original first gen iPod Nano and I sent it in, I got a sixth gen iPod nano as a replacement.

I mean I had the phone for a very long time so I’m not shocked. What I was shocked over was the free upgrade. I’ve always kept Apple care after this. I’ve found it to be much better than the coverage a carrier can offer in most cases.

I broke my screen. At the time I was using an iPhone 4s and the 5s was out. They ended up just giving me a 5s.

Yeah Apple is good for this. There was one time I had a phone to old to replace. They ended up just giving me a newer phone and I didn’t pay shit.

Removing the phone from your account just means the phone can be reused. If it wasn't reset it can rejoin the account quite easily, possibly even without an Apple ID password prompt.

You're supposed to lock and permanently keep the phone in the account, eventually combined with a remote erase.

Well considering your daily goal should be set to something achievable and maintainable it’s probably you who set the goal way too high

All of that is wrong, basically.

If you removed it from your account, you wouldn’t be able to mark it stolen as it would no longer be on your account.

If you marked it stolen, you wouldn’t be able to remove it from your account.

None of this is done through the find my friends app.

The reason Apple support can’t tell you how this phone re-appeared from your account after 8 years is that it was likely on there all along. Otherwise all the rest of what you described would not be possible.

I think there’s a button combo to reset, but I don’t know what it is off the top of my head.

If the seller restores the phone and gets you past the activation lock screen (IN PERSON) then feel free to buy the phone. Otherwise you'd just buy a brick.

Nope. Even up close and personal the 12 pm has bigger cameras then the 12 pro. The 13pro and 13 pro max are the same as is the 14pro and 14 pro max.

Dudeee! The form factor of the iPhone SE makes it really easy to use in bed. Just enough to not have eye strain when watching content. 👌🏼

I dont think I would need another big phone. But if I only had one, I’d still choose the iPhone 13 pro max, albeit, not in bed. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

The design is exactly why I got it. For my use case which is just a device for bed, it works wonders as it is very easy to hold. I agree with you on the current gen chip tho. It is a beast.

Ios 16 has potentially caused a green tint and screen flicker for me. its such a pain(iphone 13 pro max)
