I called and we erased it again and they said nobody will ever be able to use it again. But that’s what they said 8 years ago. I kept asking to make sure over and over and she swore it was all erased. So hopefully she is right.

Slide to open the Control Panel. Tap "Airplane Mode" then tap the cellular symbol to turn it on. Bluetooth & Wi-Fi will be off.

I had to do it pretty often when my phone would log into the "XFINITY" wi-fi instead of my home wi-fi.

If you need it off permanently for some reason, you could also go straight for settings > wi-fi > Off which is fewer steps and no need for holding a button down.

Also, as mentioned in another comment, there is also the Siri option which would be the quickest.
