I use my iPad and Apple Watch every day but if I had to choose between the two it would 100% be the watch.

I'm not broke if that's what your applying. i have a pretty decent amount in my bank account, it's just that I have a tendency to put certain items that I want off as I have other important inquires such as bills, necessities, etc. Plus I now think that a protective case would work much better instead of taking it to a Apple repair shop if it ever gets cracked and having to wait a few days till it's finished.

Sorry i hope i wasn't sounding rude.

If you want to charge through wood or a desk or whatever, you're probably better off with a qi setup than magsafe. They sell under desk qi wireless kits - with tuneable strength to optimize charging. IKEA also sell a relatively inexpensive one but it's pretty basic - Smojarke.
If you're set on magsafe though, best performance would probably be from routing a pocket for the magsafe charging end, and covering that over with a thin veneer. Or routing it out from the other side, so the top surface is thin, then installing the magsafe and packing it the hollow at the bottom so it's sturdy.

The defender just has a layer of vinyl/rubber, then the plastic.

I don't like the inconvenience of getting a phone fixed when it breaks so I use a case. It's just a thin clear shell and I can put it down on any surface without it being damaged.

My screen protector is solid glass. There is not cutout and it doesn't seem to interfere with the front cameras and sensors.

Always caseless since the 3GS to 14pro max, I look at it like a vehicle, get insurance (apple care) just in case and be concise while operating to avoid accidents.

Okay, i’ll have to use a very thin layer then! I think it should be okay because my phone charges if i hold the case a couple of millimetres above the pad - although i presume the distance will be shorter through wood rather than air

yeah not sure, i think it struggles with metal if your case has it

I use a case but no screen protector. I just can’t stand a cutout on the dynamic island.

Without a case. I have used all my iPhones without a case. It’s the proper way to use it. It feels so much better without the case.

Well, I would recommend resetting via DFU. Then restore iCloud only but not phone profile. (Set as new iphone and turning ON all iCloud switches after the fact)

I can tell you it doesn’t work through the thickness of the Otterbox Defender case lulz. Different materials may affect it differently though.

Most iPhones have glass on the back now so its a game of risk if you drop it without a protective case

Good question. I was wondering that myself.

As thin as possible. The thickness of an average phone case is probably the max thickness you'd want.

Prob time to get the port fixed… wireless slows down when it gets warm and is pretty inefficient.

Very weird. Good question though. It bothers me and I’ve been too lazy to research a solution lol.
