I like the Moment app, but I haven’t compared it to any others as I’ve been using it for years.

If you’re only interested in shooting raw, you probs won’t care, but one little bugbear is that it doesn’t get support the 3x optical zoom setting. It only presets to .5, x1 and x2. That’s the only thing that often bounces me back into the default app, I often prefer a 50-75mm kind of range, but for 48MP raw? It’ll be fine.

I did one thing because i wanted to go close to case less with my 14 Pro Max. That was 1 phone call to Apple support and asked how much to replace the screen by Apple in Australia. They quoted $650. So I got Apple Care. I suppose it depends on your own personal situation financially and is the cost of replacement an acceptable risk🤷‍♂️

Depends. For me is not, I have not smash a phone since the iPhone 3GS… brand new, left it on top of my car while pumping gas… and that was it.. 18 wheeler went over it when I drop off Loves. For my niece yes, she has smash every single phone without fail.

How about you?

Thanks, yeah I read about that but it still gets the post-processing before the conversion and just converts the file to save space etc, I manually convert and they still look overly processed compared to say the normal 12MP RAW from Halide I tried but sadly can't do 48MP which I'm looking for, only one I read about can is a monthly sub and also people saying the policies and taking your info seems sketchy

I just use the regular camera on proraw mode and use a shortcut that scans my photo library and converts the images to heic and deletes the dng files.

I can search for the shortcut link if you are interested.

Tried it see no difference with the post processing with 48mp compared to the stock camera app, it can do RAW instead of PRORAW but not at 48MP sadly because the the former looks better but I want the full 48MP for the pics I plan to take.

I also see that it can be a 1 time purchase of $60

You get used to it. You also have to take into consideration this is essentially a two handed device which makes the weight even less of an issue. Unless you have massive hands don’t expect to ever use this one handed.

Battery life is pretty great on the regular 13 and 14 pros. Big difference with the maxes? Yeah, kinda, but those are a step up over an already good battery life. I too found the max waaaay too bulky to use confortably, I'm pretty happy with the size of my 13 Pro.
