I think you're going into this with the wrong mindset from the get-go. In your mind, the S22U is already a superior device due to the price and as you say, more features and better HW. That's not the way to look at switching, you already have an inherent bias.

If you're not using the Apple ecosystem in any way, shape or form, such as the Apple Watch, AirPods or Macbook then no, don't switch. The phone by itself is a great device but the device and software really shine with the connectivity between Apple's devices.

I have a Iphone 14 Pro Max and Hey Siri works while this is enabled. Apple probably only allows both to work simultaneously when you have the latest pro model version. They probably state that other models don't have enough AI processing power. :-)

I made the jump to the 14PM a few months ago after a decade of purely Android devices and I'm not going to sugar coat it, you will get frustrated and annoyed the first few days of use.

You'll be used to the way Android does things and the difference can be jarring in certain aspects. The notifications on iPhone are pretty shit in comparison to Android and that's still my biggest sticking point but otherwise I can't say I regret my decision. Well other than the fact that I ended up buying an Apple Watch and then later on a Macbook in large part due to the ecosystem.

What I recommend you do is go to an Apple Store and buy the device outright. It's a large chunk of change yes but if you live somewhere with a 14 Day Return Policy, it gives you some time to test out the device and determine if you like it. Again though, the first few days could be frustrating so you have to push through that.

Im not sure if you were trying to use an existing apple id or not. But you will probably have to create a new one for this specific phone. Other than that im not really sure. I have a backup 6s+ that stopped at 15.7 but its still logged into my original apple id. Except my icloud is disabled so nothing interferes. Also usually you dont need to login into icloud just the actual apple account to download apps

I just got a 14 Pro, seriously trying to find wallpapers that incorporate the floating island. Anyone have anything?
