I meant "better hw" by a bigger screen with higher resolution, S-pen, faster charging, etc. Not saying iPhone sucks, if it would suck I wouldn't even think about buying it but I do. Just saying those phones are on par with build quality/hw/sw just very different price tags.

I want to try iPhone because it's something new I have never owned, not because androids are slow etc. They are not, google/Samsung did a lot of progress in the past years.

S20 and S22 are models of Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S 20 Fan Edition and Samsung Galaxy S 22 Ultra.

Not saying you did, just throwing some ideas… my 12 PM shattered from falling out of my pocket onto the rug when I was crouching all the way down but sweatpants pocket wasn’t zipped up. So it fell from my pocket on the thick rug from less than 1ft of height.

While my old X back in the day flew out of my car when I opened the door and it was in my lap, so it fell from 2-2.5 ft on the concrete and rolled over, and then kept sliding for some 3ft. Apart from scratches - nothing.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Ive never seen a phone shatter from anything in your pocket even other iPhones. It took my 12 pro over 50 drops onto concrete to break and 11 pro broke working the same time period but the 14 pro presses against a leather wallet and shatters? Something isn’t right there. Wallet was completely flat doesn’t have anything poking out and haven’t leaned on any walls.

The location expectations depend on the Find My settings you had on the device: Send Last Location - if the battery is critically low, you’ll see the last location for 24hrs; Find My Network - allows you to see location when it’s offline, in low power mode, and offline, but it relies on other nearby Apple devices. If you’re unsure of which settings you had enabled, we can only make assumptions about the location updates. Things like: SIM card removed (if physical), being out cellular signal range, no nearby Apple devices, phone powered off, etc.

The most likely answer is they removed your SIM and/or powered the phone off.

If Find My shows Offline, No Location Found, etc.: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204233

It must have been hit by something or perhaps something pushed against it (like a bulb in your wallet and you leaning on the wall, thus making pressure on that bulb via your body weight).

It’d take some pressure to shatter it, but then again, glass is very fragile and not willing to bend at all…

You started this thread biased:

>It costs 1.5x the price of S22 Ultra which has more features and better HW.

If the “better” hardware (?) is running software not really optimized for it, it’s wasted hardware. It’s spending too many cycles parsing excess code. iPhones, with their optimized code, can run a number of benchmarks faster. You might even be eyeing a more expensive model of iPhone than you would really need. Few who believe themselves to be “power users” actually are.

Moreover, features implemented first are not automatically features implemented best.

> S20 FE 4g

> S22 Ultra

What do these mean, exactly? I’m assuming these are models from…Samsung?

Thanks man! Any idea how it only sent its location once (after border control, exiting my country) but still not connected to the internet since they stole it?

My only guess is that they instantly turned it off and turned it on once they passed the border, but cellular data was on and it should have activated lost mode then (control center can’t be accessed without unlocking)..

I think the answer is here " is the Iphone 14 pro worth the money? It costs 1.5x the price of S22 Ultra which has more features and better HW". if you want the new tech and features, then switch to iPhone without this mindset "It costs 1.5x the price of S22 Ultra which has more features and better HW". Love and light to you.
