Again, it's a niche within a niche. It's not going to happen / even large studies get it wrong, so what chance do individuals have at providing evidence any kind of evidence you would accept? What would that even look like?

In the end, "better than nothing" is how we end up having to live our lives, and, simultaneously, the foundation for many of the most widespread cases of misinformation in all of scientific history.

We can't know until we know. Until we do, I'm not so willing to say I'm convinced, and saying I'm not convinced doesn't change anything/affect my life, so it's fine, in my book.

If you like the midrange product as much as the high-end one i'd double check with other resources as it could be an attempt to upsell/make a sale(especially if they dont carry the product).

As for whether to shop onsite/online I'd probably base it on whether their good service and ability to get a product immediately is worth the price premium and the effort to go to the place. I feel like telling the shopkeeper upfront that you don't intend to purchase (even if you actually do) makes identifying a good shop easier as the better ones won't become pushy for you to buy or callous to you and your questions/requests

I wouldn't say it's tiring. I do find it a bit bassy, punchy, which I like. Headphones/iems that make me "tired" is those that has piercing trebles, which I don't find in the M50x. But I'm not that comfortable using my M50x anymore lately, especially for home use because I'm too used to open backs, the closed back and tuning of the M50x make me a bit claustrophobic, somehow. As for details in the sound, it does have a good instrument separation. Sometimes it can be exhausting listening to many things at once I agree, but I'm already used to it I guess.

Some of these people crack me up. Even if we pretend there is a difference, you’ll get so lost in the music after a few minutes you won’t even end up noticing the very minute details. I tried Tidal, noticed no differences to my ears on my HEKse and Utopia and kept Spotify. I’m not going to throw out years of playlists and a better GUI just to hear a hi-hat at a slightly different pitch. There is more to a service than bitrate.

But they're wrong!

Disagreeing with someone is fine, being toxic is not.

Don't impede reasonable discussion or vilify based on what you or the other person believes or knows to be true.

Look at what they said!

Responding to a person breaking Rule 1 does not grant a pass to break the same rule. Everyone is responsible for their own participation on r/headphones.

Well I wouldn't call them relaxed sounding. Quite a lot of treble and bass, but pretty fun sound. I think they're more intended for monitoring and maybe mixing, perhaps not quite for long and relaxing listening sessions.

Might help to EQ a bit. Look around for guides on Peace APO. Oratory1990's presets are a popular place to start.
