I was kind of wondering about whether they would sound more like a SSP/SSR or Chu with more bass and less treble bite. I honestly like the sound of my Chu with bass added and the treble smoothed over a little which my iFi iDSD signature takes care of. Sounds like I will enjoy this one.
Mine is stuck in Chicago in the US and there are terrible winter storms all over, so probably won't get it until next week I would guess. Love the mouse pad!

This post has been removed. Please note the following rule:
>Rule 2: Ask purchase help questions in the Shopping and Setup Help Desk found at https://reddit.com/r/headphones/about/sticky > >Requests for product opinions, comparisons, and general purchase advice must be made in the dedicated Shopping and Setup Help Desk found at /r/headphones/about/sticky instead of a new post.
You may also use r/headphoneadvice but please search their resources and familiarize yourself with their rules first before posting.
What questions are considered purchase advice?
-
A request for product suggestions, comparison requests, or opinion requests fall under the purchase advice rule. These can often be found by searching first.
-
Any suggestion or comparison request pertaining to headphones, IEMs, DACs, amps, or other accessories should be directed to the purchase help thread or r/headphoneadvice.
-
Asking the subreddit to help make a decision to buy a product does fall under this rule (e.g. "should I get dekoni pads for my HD650?").
Why does this rule even exist?
-
In short, this is a large subreddit with a high volume. We want to help, but it's important to keep things organized to keep the sub fun. Thanks for your understanding.
-
A more detailed explanation about this rule can be found here.
What if the link doesn't work?
- The post can usually be found on the top r/headphones, and titled Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk.

Been 2 weeks, nothing yet. They have a 3rd party for warranty claims here in my region but I imagine it would be faster if you were talking with sennheiser directly

I really love the 58X, I am really starting to appreciate it a lot more now that I've been listening to it a lot lately. I definitely like it more than my 6XX, it has the perfect balance of treble, mids and bass for me on a finely tuned Sound Blaster GC7. It is a pleasure to listen to and fixes up all the things that I do not like about the 6XX which was mainly the relaxed nature of that headphone.

My sony XB900 anc is horrible too. Barely cancels any noise and it hurts my head so much I have to cycle through the comedically loud voice announcer to turn them off everytime I use the headphones.

Basically the 6xx lite from my understanding, can be driven well by most devices which makes it a lot more practical though it does sound better with a more powerful amp.

I bought blon a8 largely because I really like the design. They sound fine, although not as good as the tin t2. I haven't tried 03 so I can't compare it to those.

Well the MDR R10 is almost like this and it’s still one of the best sounding headphones

The Sundara closed aren’t bad IMO. I’ve heard much worse closed back headphones like the Campfire Cascades. For $300, it sounds clean and bass extends pretty deep. Sound wise it actually competes with the Elegia and Celeste in clarity.

this shade of wood is makes it look like a cheap toy. it feels like those toy guns with orange tips. should've used brown wood and not this orange color

I’m so stoked about this. I have been looking for a planar closed back that does not cost 4K. I’ve tried the Lirics and they are good but it was not the sound signature I was looking for. I heard that ZMF is going to have a closed Caldera but that might be too out of budget for me.

I feel the same way. Even if I have really good thousand dollar speakers, if I can't meet the 10 other requirements to make good use of it, it won't sound as good as it's worth. Headphones, just plop it on your head, done.

Pretty sure he has a jds atom stack and from what he tells me they're great. Hearing you say your experience was similar to mine is really nice to hear since the internet seems to praise these cans so much.
