Got a 4.4 cable for my 560s and focal clear. You just can’t go wrong!

I started from the HD 650 and then LCD 2-classic and now I have the focal clear OG, and I really do miss the dynamic sound after using my planar for awhile and I really have to say that the focal clear is my favourite headphone currently because it suits the music I listen to. It is just a much improved version of the HD 650 and the imaging is so good especially when gaming I can almost pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from

They are two different means to the same goal. The reproduction of live music. Compare speakers to speakers and 'phones to 'phones. Like Ferraris and F110s. Both competent means to the same goal, but totally different experiences.

Off-axis dispersion and reflections can make a difference. Tell me a large single panel ribbon speaker has the same off-axis as say a MBL X-Treme. Those are two extreme examples of different dispersions.

They are not natural sounding. They are very dark, especially if you insert them as deep as they are supposed to be which not all people who measured them and made graphs for us have done.

When I had an ER2SE it required a 10 dB boost of both bass and treble. Luckily it has very low distortion and can take EQ like a champ.

With properly deep insertion my ER2SE was even darker than Oratory's and required a 10 dB treble hump.

Well certainly, a multi speaker setup with proper tracks or good movies is unmatched, when it comes to creating space through sound.

I was just here to echo this sentiment. I've never really been impressed by speaker soundstage, or speaker anything to be frank (at least in comparison to headphones); even listening to a 90k Vandersteen system in a perfectly treated and measured room was underwhelming right after the LCD-5.

That being said, I'll agree with cunt - they're two different experiences and for the most part incomparable, but who is out here comparing the two? lol

AKG build went downhill a while ago, i myself and many others have had bad experience with it. For me AKG is a brand to avoid, their phones sounds great, but longevity is missing. I advise to check comment section on amazon, this is pretty common btw

They have a very narrow use case, and the 3,5 spins so it adjusts

It’s cool that it’s chunky but it does not click in place and it’s fiddly to get it upright
