The funny thing is that 3.5 bends way more than 2.5 in my expirianceo

Finally words of truth. There's another side of truth though: music is good for stereo system they were mixed for. Hard panned recordings will never sound good in headphones - on the other side, binaural recordings won't sound as good as they do in headphones.

I mean Atmos speaker setup, or at least a 5.1, with proper mixed Dolby Atmos music. Some songs on Apple Music really come alive in Dolby Atmos on headphones. So it must sound amazing on 7.1 speakers. Also movies must be insane.

True, though I didn’t care about it being balanced for this list, it’s purely practical

Plugging in a 4.4 jack feels like sex

Congrtulations on your purchase. For your next upgrades, as a newbie like you say, get on the tried and true trail. I'd say an HD560s would have been a good open back for a start, for a closed back you could have well went with the M40X from ATH, not the best, but for a beginner it's good enough.

Yup, 4.4mm is the superior connection type. It's big enough to feel sturdy, it's small enough to not feel obtrusive, and it provides a balanced connection.

Glad i'm not alone in thinking you should return everything but the Airpods. I recently tried an EQ on my gen 1 Pros and they sound decent enough to not want to bother with my Tin P1 and Penon Vortex. The P1 is married to a quadelix cause it sucks without EQ, and the Penon has to have a cable.

Every time I see someone being picky about soundstage, bass response, or slam in headphones that cost more than $500, I want to say that it's time to get speakers

It depends on how much your hrtf differs from 5128 honestly. Measurements on a 43ag do show that hd600 has too much mids compared to 43ag diffuse field but on 5128 diffuse field the hd600 seems to closely match it apart from the 8khz peak that was not visible on the 43ag and the 4.5khz scoop. Meanwhile the 660s2 has some really bad dips. I already eq-ed my 600 to 660s2 and the scoop makes the neutral tonality feel off

I remember Arya being even wider but I didn't own both at the same time and I may be wrong.
Or it could be that I was so wrapped up in chasing the soundstage at the time I had the Arya and by the time I got the HD 800 I had come down to earth a bit and wasn't fooled as easily anymore.
I don't find it fake and forced at all though. It is just about 1 inch wider for me on each side than 6XX or IEMs (which are all the same width as each other and the same as 6XX lol) but seems to respond better to DSP or crossfeed to bring the sound forward in a slightly more speaker-like way.
