Im not exactly sure, i think when your mouth is right in front of the mic, you when toy say something like "puppy" the "p" coming out of your mouth makes a bad noise when its in front of the mic, and the mic catches that. This prevents that from happening. Also for some random reason everyone says i sound better when i have it on which sucks because my mic is retractable but not with that thing on.

Not OP but I choose the B2 over the Dusk. The B2 has more of a bright neutral sound signature and since I already had the Aria and a few bassy iems I wanted something different. Adding a bass shelf is also pretty easy, even on very basic eq applications. Lastly, while it wasn’t the deciding factor, I wanted a certain engraving that wasn’t available on the Dusk.

Ah indeed , that is one of this device's features. Glad you enjoyed it!

I use the iematch but for a different reason. I use it with sensitive headphones with my tube amp. With some sensitive headphones or IEMs I only get a couple of clicks on the volume knob before its too loud and the iematch gives me nearly a third of the volume knob which let's me fine tune my volume much better.

ifi makes their product hissy so you need to buy their other product to fix the hiss. all speculation of course, but they obviously know how to make the hiss go away but the majority of their products made for iems dont work well for iems.

spinfit cp155 is a clear winner for me, both for sound and fit!
I have tried azla xelastec, acoustune aet08, azla light short, cp100+ but none of them sound/fit like cp155 😋
