I know what you mean! Sounds like your headset was not properly driven without amp.

I just did similar experiments with my non-audiophile friend (because he was curious why I need an amp, haha). We compared the same song on the same headphone (AKG K712) with nfb11.38 dac/amp vs without amp. My non-audiophile friend described that without amp, it was like looking at a 2D photograph of a 3D object.

The separation becomes clear on a song with very low and very high frequencies --- try Billie Eilish - bad guy.

I had worse players.
Iriver E10 for example - a little noisy. Samsungs were cleaner but still no bass and no power. The best sound at the time was still from CD players.

I agree of course, but that's what the /s was for in the initial post.

I would like to know the reason for Crinacle to overhaul the list, and I'm merely/sarcastically pointing out he may have changed his mind re his collabs. I thought it was kinda obvious though, even without the /s.

If you know the real reason, I'd like to know as well. Then, however, I wonder whether he re-reviews based on memory or not.
