IER-Z1R may be S rank, but it is hands down ergonomically the WORST IEM I've ever had, and many would agree. The oversized and jagged shaped shell digs into my ear. They may sound good, but it's physically painful to wear them.

I have been googling for a while but I have one of two outcomes to my searches;1 It is a plasticy piece of trash that costs 5 bucks.

2 It is 3000 usd.I couldn't find something decent in between I am still looking but I decided to give reddit a shot because I saw a topic like this in this subreddit I have been looking through the recommendations but they are almost all sold out.

Nah, assuming the connectors aren't damaged/corroded, the electrical effect of that bit of extra wire is absolutely negligible at audio frequencies/headphone power levels.

I realize this is probably not true, but for some reason I always feel EQ adds some kind of haze or distortion. I've tried multiple EQ presets on multiple devices for multiple headphones but for me it just never sounds quite as good as without.

I think he's said at some point that he's only done one collab per price bracket, and afaik it's mostly brand agnostic (with the exception of 7hz dioko/zero, which were done together)

So wouldn’t the front headphone jack that’s plugged into the mobo with a small pin connector be less amplified compared to the sound port that’s soldered directly to the mobo on the back of the computer where the audio chip traces to?
