If you like the LCD-X I think you may find the Elite very, very enjoyable. I demoed the LCD-5, Final D8000 Pro, DCA Expanse, and Susvara but the Elite won me over immediately. You could plug it into a potato and it will sound good.

Great pair of headphones. What I like is how responsive to EQ it is. If I want bass it gives me bass, If I want highs it gives me highs.

The A3X 's 4.5" "woofer" is too small for good warm bass. Does mids and highs very well but.... And no, i dont want a subwoofer, i want to stay compact, but also have a bit more bass. Wonder how these Genelecs do bass.

have them now for over a year and a half and never had any issues whatsoever. Very sturdy and well put together.

I have my KA3 and did some side by side testing with the apple dongle, I didint really feel that there was much sound quality difference when testing them side by side on the 3.5mm jack, but using KA3 through the 4.4mm balanced there definitely is an improvement.

Specifically on Led Zeppelin's black dog (celebration day), at around 30 seconds going forward, the apple dongle has no weight or punch when the low guitar and drums start hitting. On the KA3 balanced however I definitely feel actual tactile rumble and depth.

Luckily I've never had connection issues with the IE600 but the cable has microphonics and the ear hooks took a lot of bending to get them in a position I don't mind (still not great).

Tons of complaints on the HeadFi thread about the stock eartips and cable so it looked like they might fix things with the IE200, so it's unfortunate to hear they still couldn't get it right.

i have mine from 2020 and only recently the pad started to peel off. the replacement pads are on the way. i replace it with an after market lambskin earpad for around $35 on aliexpress. i guess you are unlucky to get a lemon unit.

All their IEM's that I know of have the filter foam stuff inside but I think it's easy to remove. The IE600 stock eartips are junk anyway.

How the headphone out on the RME compared to your headphone amp with the LCD-X?

I’m currently driving my LCD-X 2021 with an ifi ZEN DAC/ ZEN CAN stack, but am considering a DAC upgrade. Truth be told both ifi pieces drive the LCD-X well, I’m just looking for a more detailed DAC.

i'll take the microphonic everyday rather than the connection issue, which is still best of the worst. why can't sennheiser make a decent cable????
