These look like a great deal. I don't trust Moondroop and the other budget options with all the paint bubbling, face plates falling off and channel imbalance issues. I have more trust in Sennheiser tbh. Maybe I am just biased.
Is the cable at all microphonic, when you wear it underneath your T-shirt, whilst moving? I have been looking for an IEM to use whilst walking the dog, so I'd appreciate your help :)

Do the tips have filters in them? I know the ie600 did and they altered the treble response. These look like the same tips so my money is on they do include filters.

There's nothing particularly wrong with Spotify. Unlikely to notice a difference with Tidal unless you have some configuration in Spotify/Windows wrong that is making it sound bad. I subscribe to both, currently back on Spotify as Tidal is having one of its frequent... buffering... buffering...

OK! a little bit digging shows it's Japanese brand Madoo's upcoming IEM perhaps?

Always upvote LCD-X. S tier headphones and the best cans Audeze makes IMO.

I'm familiar, I just was caught off guard that these (100dB, 18ohm) sometimes seem to need more power than my old HE560 (93dB, 50ohm) to feel equally loud. But then you may need to turn it down a good 15-20% to listen to another song comfortably, even within the same genre. It's like they just take up more of your usable volume range on a per track basis whereas the HE560 had almost a 'loudness normalization' effect. Maybe that just means I wasn't amping those enough?

You can use online graph tools (the one on Crinacle's website, squig.link etc.). You insert the values in, and then there's an "export to wavelet" function at the bottom

it just arrived so i'm listening to it while writing this. the dual tuning is certainly interesting. the cable is okay, it has some memory to it but very very lightweight. when i put this on i don't feel like i am wearing anything.very very comfortable. it has no connection issue like the ie300 which is a big plus for something half the price of the ie300. this thing is so fun to listen to. overall very happy with it in my first impression.
edit: if you decide to swap out the tips, placing the tip for the second tuning option will be harder, the stock tips have something in it that hold the tip in place.

I guess you could file this under QC or chalk it up to FedEx but mine did arrive with the right earcup partially detached (one side of one yoke arm had popped off the nub on the earcup)
I popped that back on and it's felt rock solid ever since. They really seem to be made with pretty tight tolerances coming from other headphones I've had, which I'm sure will cause them to feel a bit stiff to some especially new out of box. If someone needed to bend this headband for whatever reason they would have to try quite hard. Still gonna baby them cause I love the finish, but these don't feel like they need you to so much.
I do want a new cable for them though.

Then dont worry about it. I've done a couple of wireless mods, my only advice is that your plug selection was way too big.

I was never gonna presume this to be true, but I have to say probably I agree. I had the TC44C and the iBasso DC06 for comparing for a while and I do think I there was a perceivable difference between the two. Is it anything noteworthy? No, not really but they did not sound exactly the same to me, for what it‘s worth.

Try “although I don’t really like the sound of the dt 990 anyway”

I have been astonished before at how clear and easily identified differences disappear once volume matched and blind tested.

A friend of mine made that recommendation as well. I'm trying to get a listen in through higher res audio to see how I feel about them.

What would you use to create the file to import into Wavelet if you don't mind me asking? I've been trying to get EqualizerAPO to work but I think I'm having driver issues on my PC. But I've been manually playing around with the EQ settings in Poweramp, and have Poweramp Equalizer as well.
