A person of 80 years would take 672,768,000 breaths. If the earth was a living being taking one seasonal breath every year, that’s 4 billion breaths, the earth as a living being would be equivalent to 5 lifetimes.

Kind of a roundabout way to hypothetically imagine the earth as a giant old wise living being with a nasty infestation of humans.

Let’s hope Gaia’s immune system doesn’t kick in.

It's worth noting how mild the winter is, but when it's actually cold..... it get's really cold. You could convince me that 0-10°F doesn't exist and I'd believe you

Northern hemisphere winter happens when the Earth is relatively close to the Sun in its orbit, so we have that going for us. Winters would be colder and summers hotter if we were farther from the Sun during our winter.
