A Fallout game maybe? Stick it on very easy. There is the assisted targeting system VATS. Lots and lots to explore. Plus you get a pet dog.
I could see how some people might find bits of it scary tho, so depends on her tolerance for that.

Fallout 4 perhaps? There's enough customization in the difficulty that she should be able to make it an easy romp, but there still would be a jump scare or two unfortunately. Otherwise it's solo exploration, real-time combat with RPG elements, and you can have a dog companion.

BotW sucked.
If you agree, then so will this.

If you want something similar (but differently) to WoW, try City of Heroes. It was a major competitor to WoW back in the day and is still around and is completely free to play.
Same tab based targeting and skill usage, but instead of Elves and Orcs, you have Super Heroes/Villains, gangs, zombies, mechs, etc. Been playing it for nearly 20 years now.

100% agree. nothing against botw but I don't want it to define all Zelda games rom now on. Zelda games have almost always been unique to each other and each one add their own thing, I hope that keeps happening instead of just making them all like botw.

What they've shown doesn't really make me more excited. What I imagine they're holding back does. Dungeons, tons of new content, etc. They had 6 years to work on this building off the base of the original, theres gonna be plenty of new stuff to explore and if you like the original, its gonna look and play the same at its core.

Ahh yes smash ultimate, a game with so much content and polished gamplay is 'low budget' you sound delusional.

The previous game was one of the best singleplayer games ever made, if it aint broke, dont fix it. I think they went the right way focusing on opening up creativity options than making graphic enhancements, to end up with something pretty on the outside but empty on the playability end.

Yeah, anything at this point would be appreciated. Further delay, but still definitely coming is more welcome news than no news at all.
Even just a drop.

You are not alone friend, we were so close.
On the other hand, the game that was being developed looked like it had some major issues. I am glad it is not canceled, but I was hoping to get some news by now.

This. Glad for people that love the vibe, but I’d rather a return to OoT-through-SS glory & feel.
I’m just done with current mainline trajectory, unless there’s something drastic we don’t know about Tears.
Gimme WW&TP remasters on Switch! Give me a brand new Top-Down entry, or Minish Cap & Oracle remakes!

I don't know what to think tbh. So far all we've seen is the same old game with a handful of new powers and some sky islands. That hasn't got me excited at all. It looks like a DLC.
Thing is though, they've been working on this game for six years! And they started with an existing game engine, world and assets. So I simply cannot believe that all we’re going to end up with is what we've seen so far. They could have made a second entirely new landmass in that time.
We still haven't seen much of the new game world and where it plays out. Some of those sky islands look like they have interesting looking buildings on them. Dungeon entrances perhaps?
Will wait and see. I agree that what we've seen is underwhelming. I just can't believe that'll be the lot.

Between Tales of Symphonia being remastered, Baten Kaitos remastered, and now potentially Skies!? These are my top 3 RPGs of all time of that era. The only games that come close are the Xenoblade series.
It's like the gaming gods are finally answering all of my prayers. I've been wanting to show my wife this game for YEARS because I literally never stop talking about it.
Ramirez is easily one of my favorite villains of all time. The gameplay is awesome and the story is great. It also has one of the best and fun open worlds to explore of all time.
I just hope they reduce random encounter rates.

Every time I see a post about Vampire, any entry, I just lament the fact that Bloodlines2 is in purgatory… if not downright cancelled.

Hopefully after TotK, they can return to form.
Glad for those who enjoy the current LoZverse but there’s a reason many people don’t enjoy it in comparison to past greats.
