it's a casual sim/strategy game where you can conquer other civs or do some diplomacy run. it can be played solo so you can save and exit out at anytime but it's just addicting to do 1 more thing because you only need 1 more turn to finish a building but then you get addicted to just go 1 more turn.

I haven’t finished them but loved what I played I’ve been thinking about buying a ps5 (really want a pc but am unable to build one right now) I just hate spending that much money for another console just to play a few games

In the west it was never a negative term. It also dates back to the early 90’s. It was a category of games, and if you liked RPGs it was the best category of the genre.

That said, in the late PS3 days it did become somewhat synonymous with cheap anime crap game on the PSN marketplace. But broadly speaking it was still a positive term.

It wasn't my favorite game I played even that week, but it's not horrible.

We don't need to limit games to the ridiculous "good/bad" dichotomy, there are many layers.

Its definitely average, but horrible? No. Its even done what a lot of devs have been unable to do recently and release a game that actually runs on every platform, including PC - at launch.
