they are 100% old school games now.
You can read my commend above, but Halo 3 comes from a time when you earned cosmetics and the game shipped fully completed minus a map pack or two. That is old school these days. We are past those times and will not be going back. That makes it old school.
So, from someone who did play what you consider "old school" to someone trying too hard to be cool - get rekt. You're wrong.

Yeah it freezes and shows like pixels in dif colors and then the computer resets after it’s frozen for a minute or so does that mean I have to replace it or could it simply be like dust or something causing it to mess up

Fair I suppose. I'm a working adult as well but I tend to finish one game before starting the next even when they take me months. Seems like you're blueballing yourself on some great stories haha

Why is this a foreign concept to some people? You play games to have fun, when you stop having fun you move on. I've seen this sentiment a couple times and it's kinda upsetting.

Reply to comment by FallenShadeslayer in According to Skill-Up's interview of Naoki Yoshida (Final Fantasy 14 and 16), the term "JRPG" was actually viewed as a derision in the Japanese game development space: by Gorotheninja
It's not, though, because a JRPG is vastly different in scope compared to a normal RPG. JRPGs are incredibly linear with no meaningful choices, while RPGs have freedom and consequences. It doesn't make JRPGs worse than RPGs, but they are different. The only thing that is shared between them is story focus and a leveling system. But those things alone don't make a game an RPG, otherwise games like God of War and the recent Assassin's Creed games could be called RPGs, which they are not.

Lol thanks buddy and don't worry he was 65 at the time when he played them. You are still young!!

Try something more like an interactive movie at first I would recommend "What remains of Edith Finch", "Takoma", "gone home". You can also try a game made for two like "It takes two" or "unravel 2".

Control
Disappointed from the story and its execution. It fell on my backlog over the years since I've purchased it, and when I eventually returned to it, I realized I had essentially finished it already. The story was that cryptic, underwhelming and clearly unmemorable that even "finishing" it twice just amplified my disappointment lol

Like as in setting the max fps to reach only certain limits or what do you mean specifically

Not all DLCs need the main campaign finished to play them. Just look at Skyrim.

Because I have fun playing them, why else? I am a father, husband, and business owner. I don’t have as much time to play as I used to. It’s been two months since I played Horizon Forbidden West, and I forgot the controls. I don’t want to re-do it. I had fun while it lasted.

FF VIII, FFX, and FFXII are my three favourites in the series for a combination of story and gameplay.
Important thing to note is when they were released and on what console as this does change what the game looked and felt like, I struggle to go back to the PS1 titles now but easily replay PS2 and up. FFX was the first PS2 title. FFXIII Was the first PS3 title. FFXV was the first PS4 title.
If you are after a shooter type, try out FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus (PS2, released after FFX to be confusing) You play as Vincent Valentine and it is more of an action/shooter based title
FFXV also is an 'active' system where you can choose if it pauses while you are in a menu mid battle etc, but feels more spammy/action based. Can be pretty fun with the combo's etc if you ever played and liked Kingdom Hearts combat.

I'm on board with this. I don't really have a problem with paid DLC as long as it's worth it. However, mechanics of games are shifting towards "Pay to have fun" rather than "Play to have fun".
Saving your post for future reference.

My wife isn't a gamer, but we have played all the way through Pit People together. It's turn-based so nothing too fast, as well as co-op. It's got a fun story, art style, and music.

Good point! I think the last DLC I bought was zombies in Red Dead Redemption. That was amazing.
