1.) Halo 3 is in the class of "old school" now. IE - you bought a product, it shipped ready with everything inside, cosmetics were earned, and the game was fully fleshed out. You get map packs, but that's it and they come with a LOT of maps.

2.) quit gate keeping dude. You aren't cool for playing games before Halo 3. So did I, and like it or not these days Halo 3 is an old school game. It was a different time.

3.) bet money you pay for battlepasses and still typed that last sentence.

1, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12. I’d probably start with 1 because it’s quick and will give you a feel for universal concepts that will keep coming up, and then skip to 9 because it’s fantastic. Do go back and hit the others in that list afterwards though.

They’re pretty much cheaper now than when I was a kid (I’m 40). I remember games being 60-70 back then, in today money that’s a lot dearer than the price I’m paying now

each main entry introduces a new world, setting, characters, plot, etc. so you don't have to worry there. there are sequels, but it's made known in the title, such as FFX-2.

i would say do some light research and pick the one that appeals to you. there are pretty varied opinions on FF as a whole and there isn't really a consensus on how best to approach it. if you want my personal opinion, my favorites are 6, 9, and 10.

Games are sliding down the same "How can we get as much profit as possible with as little product or effort as possible?" slope as everything else.

The studios should release DLC with content, that's how they used to make money after the release.

Nowadays, they release battle passes and parts of the game that were sectioned off to be sold off as DLC. We're paying more and getting less.

I buy all the dlc for most of the strategy/RTS/sim games I play. If it's an open world something or other, yea I don't care.
