Iv only played the first season and that was like, 5 or 6 years ago on my PS3. I'm really excited to play this over my spring break. Lee's death made me cry. And I'm sure most other people had the same reaction to it.

Halo 3 released in 2007...

Almost twenty years ago.

Would you rather me mention the break through online feature the Atari was offering?????? I said Halo 3 because that was when online console gaming was really taking off.

Im sorry but I absolutely disagree, this is the worse shock like I've played, which is the series it owes literally everything it does to, just buy and play a bioshock or system shock, hell even system shock 1, I'd rather deal with those controls then be bored everytime Im not in a cut scene like in atomic heart.

Start at FF1 it's super short, and sets the template for all of the rest.

1-6 are like playing the Evoland games if you have played those. The mechanics change with each new game but the basic game sounds, and system mechanics stay the same.

7-10 are the best, and where the games changed to 3D from 2D.

The stand alone 10 games after 10 are really forgettable.

11 is basically just an MMO

12 is spit into 3 and feels more like Fantasy Star than Final Fantasy.

13 is great back to the old ways mostly.

14 is MMO again

15 is like a split MMO/Offline game that is always online.

Just my opinions. Hope that is helpful.

It's like the investors know this industry is a gold mine with almost no loss to be had.

Step 1. Invest in a popular IP

Step 2. Wait until the release

Step 3. Watch the money pour in

Step 4. Backlash begins.

Step 5. Sell off and invest the profit in the next popular IP

Halo 3

Choose one.

Also, there are hundreds if not thousands of games released every year that don't have micro transactions. Vote with your wallet instead of yelling into the sky.

This is correct. CRPG was a term first used in the late 70's and early 80's to differentiate between computer role playing games and table top games like DnD. By the time FF1 and Dragon Warrior hit the NES in the US, the term CRPG was no longer used. And the RPG moniker was applied to video games.

The big change came with Bioware. Their early RPGs were vastly different than the (now combined) Square Enix style of RPGs, and the term CRPG came back to the US gamer lexicon. JRPG began being used to describe the more linear style of most big name RPGs from Japanese studios. Whatever slight they felt was perceived, and unfortunate. Because I highly doubt any slight was intended.

With the OG.

No, please, don't do that.

While I love the original, it has nostalgic value to me but it is...hard to play today. My favorites are FF 6, FF7, FF8, FF10 and FFTactics. All of them are worth a play imo

Edit to add: I am currently playing through Tactics right now on an emulator for my phone. Favorite game ever, played the base version and am now playing the PSP version.

You can really start with any, but 6-15 (but not 11 or 14) all have something to offer. Many people suggest VII or X as good starting points. I actually started with XV and made my way backwards through the releases.

But really, they are all different enough that you can play just whichever appeals and likely be satisfied with that. There is no connection from one to the next.
