I'm not against them either, I do feel where starting to become saturated with remakes in film and gaming media. Due to profit rather than lets say the desire to make a better product not that this is always the case. Also Is it stopping orinality and good new games from coming through?

This was very annoying to spot bandits and animals you'd might wanna hunt.

I ended up making a macro that just drove the horse forward. But when in a follow mission, your horse automatically follows the AI anyway, so cinematic mode was a bit obsolete if they'd add autorun.

I'm not against remakes, as they bring back the old gold stuff, (also remasters which I prefer more), but indeed they are getting a bit unpleasant for the "older" players such as you or me. My opinion is, that they should make more like that (and by the original team, not rip-offs or copies/clones, however rip-offs, copies/clones can be good too (such as Outlive or Atrox)), and not other stuff.
The remakes and remasters though, profit more than the original, because "this advanced" civilization of today can't appreciate the effort thanks to "AAA GaMeS".

Storywise definitely one of the best.

Every characters is well written and have their own specific personality

No wokeness

Gameplay i'll have to disagree, it's a fucking chore to play. once you've seen the bigger parts of the map, it's not new anymore and you just ride back and forth over the same path throughout the game.

Also the nonstop 'follow to objective' stuff should have been replaced with cinematics.

Camp upgrades were entirely obsolete, i didn't need to use any one of them

Why was police all-seeing? if i'd kill someone silently in a back alley, the cops would come flocking..

If your story is going to have 2 endings, have it at least be actually different instead of just Alive or Dead in the same cinematic.

Overal 8/10 for giving me the feels which barely any other game has been able to do

Like plenty other games, you feel the game was made for console and ported to PC. This is rather annoying as the controls become unresponsive at times.

|AAA companies like rockstar should just make a console AND Pc version separately.

Play the original its really good. I actually watched someone play og ps1 tomb raider that would make for a good remake old era games that I don't have access to play now I would support.

Dead space remake seemed redundant. I never played the games but always wanted to, which leads me to ask, should I play the remake or just play the first one for free on game pass? The trailer footage showed me that the original version looks like it holds up quite well so why the remake? I think for some games it works, like RE2 which was a perfect remake. Dead space could’ve waited another 10 years if at all. Pull some remakes on games from the GameCube/ps2 era or before. I’d be much more on board with that

Because other games ARE different, and adding ads to Elden Ring will absolutely make it worse, I understand hating the prejudice given to mobile games, but you can't go to the opposite extreme.

Anecdotally, a lot of people really hated it because they had no experience with roguelites before and didn't like the starting from the beginning after you die aspect of it. There was also quite a bit of hate because you couldn't save mid run and come back to it the next day, also pretty common in rogue games but not really mainstream.

As for the roguelite aspects of it they are lite, the powerups that you loot are pretty basic stat boosts that don't really change up how you play all the much, that being said it was a solid game with 10/10 sound and visual design and I'm excited at the prospect of a Returnal 2 or a spiritual successor.

Edit

From a personal viewpoint I'd also have loved a "loop" mechanic where you start from the beginning after killing the last boss in an NG+ sort of sense.
