My favorite era was PS2/Xbox/Gamecube. This is solely because multiplayer games catered to split screen rather than having to go online. Nothing beats hanging out with friends in the same place and gaming it up

1. Doki Doki panik was released for FDS

2. SMB2 for NES was a modification of Doki Doki panik

3. Mario all stars was a port of the NES games, with modifications, including SMB2

4. Super Mario Advance is a port of the all stars version of SMB2 (we know that 4 is based on 3, and not 2 or 1)

Sadly the PS3's unique architecture was not fully utilized by game developers until near the end of the console's life. Xbox 360 was much easier for developers to work with which is why you see most Xbox 360 games looking better than the same games on PS3 during the earlier years.

Really though there's not much need for remakes/remasters to stop. They sell well enough cause people enjoy them. If it seems pointless to you and you feel like you might as well just play the original, that's always an option available to you.

I haven't seen anyone complain about the game being horny yet, it's generally discussed as neutral or a positive. I think it just took people by surprise, I certainly didn't expect anything racy at all from the early marketing.

The N64 was my personal favorite console growing up, I played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64 and Perfect Dark countless times when I was in middle school and high school. The PS2/Xbox generation is a very close second for me.

More like updating the roster, changing some part of the controls slightly, and slapping a new MVP on the box art.

Because it has the best writing, dialogue, and character development in any game ever made. It's the closest gaming has come to something like an HBO series in terms of writing.

Not to mention the gameplay was fun at hell and it still has the most living and breathing open world ever created.

It's also the only game to make me cry at the end.

It's just a masterpiece and easily game of the decade at the very least.

It is extremely underrated. Very beautiful, challenging and rewarding game. Loved playing it on PC. Pity it doesn't work so well on the Steam Deck yet.

I keep seeing this idea being thrown around and yet the only time I've seen something remotely political from games journalists in the past few years has been in the last few weeks when they have "the audacity" to report on why some people feel uncofortable with Atomic Hearts ties to the russian governme t - and even then most haven't taken a side.
