Depends what youre into?

World of Tanks and World of Warships have daily missions and quite some grind behind them, as well as War Thunder. But all of them are PvP Games that require Internet

Pretty much all MMORPGs have dailies, the following are the "most active" ones as far s I regard:

Elder Scrolls Online

Fallout 76

Final Fantasy XIV

"Wynncraft" if you already own Minecraft and want something extremely casual

Otherwise as a exploration/sandbox "No Mans Sky" also has some dailies in the Anomaly, as well as you can tact in the grind for upgraded spaceships, weapons, vehicles and such.

What about Rogue Lites without dailies, but lots of Unlocks? Like Risk of Rain (2), Binding of Isaac, FTL Faster than Light, Gunfire Reborn, Enter the Gungeon and so many more?

Titanfall 2 also exists, with a short but great Campaign and an Onlinemode with the usual CoD-esque Unlocks for Weapons and your Titan. It has a PvP and PvE Gamemode

You are sort of right. As a developer of mobile games I try to understand why people are not willing to comment on, download or play my games. Sorry for luring you in.

IGN is literally the definition of very vanilla takes in gaming.....

And ehh, literally "YouTubers" are subject to the EXACT same vices. Do people not remember when a bunch of YouTuber's were singing the praises of CP2077 while also being legally denied the ability to use their own gameplay footage (or else CDPR would sue) masterfully creating a false narrative of the game's stability? At the end of the day, EVERYTHING will have a bias and that bias can easily be influenced. We are humans who crave constructing the world or narratives as we see fit. There can just simply not be a review that goes "Game does X, it tells the story of Y and it runs for Z amount of hours... computing score.... 6/10." Every game will elicit a reaction from us and that reaction is what determines the journalism/review.

Metacritic is the best to look at as its a good aggregate for the general consensus on a game.

I do own it. Bought it last year at release. I am no child but from a different country. And I do develop mobile games. Wanted to show the irony behind the idea of paying lots for console or pc games but being unwilling to pay 49 cents for a mobile game...

I do develop games on my own and there is never such a debate about my content.

Instead I got people who are willing to play my games. If they get them for free. I am annoyed by the kind people are treating mobile games. You are right, no game needs ads at all and I am sad that people are not willing to pay 1.49 for a game which might bring them joy for hours but expect mobile games to be free to play and such. I dislike the way of making money with IAPs or Ads, but the industry and the consumers tend to enjoy this.

I do enjoy paying for a good game more than being annoyed by ads, as we as everyone. Thank you for your reaction.

At this point 99% of gaming news that's relevant to my interests I'll hear about from Reddit or my friends, and I don't bother with reviews anymore when I can just watch raw gameplay on YouTube or Twitch.

I guess I still watch Zero Punctuation, but that's more for entertainment.

I can't see myself enjoying this honestly.

I think im just at the point where need more than just combat out of a game. i want character creation, i want that character to live in the world, i want to do a ton of non-combat stuff. I still enjoy narrative stuff, but when I'm looking at these games, i can't justify spending so much money on them...

like looking at Skyrim and Oblivion and GTA etc, those games are worth their weight in gold. But then I look at other games and just think...why would I pay the same price for such games. I get less things to do, less content, bleh.

I'm sure this game is great for people who like this sort of thing, but when i see it, i just see "pay $70 to frustrate yourself"

there's ways but i'm sure you can find out how. who knows? you may get lucky and a friend can gift you the game.

Now onto the topic of ads, that should never be in games, even mobile games with ads, the moment a ad pops up, i delete the game
