play games that are engaging, challenging, have good/decent stories, different.

Origins. It had the best story imo, along with the best tone, music choices and voice actors. (Batman in origins is much more expressive than the other games)

Saving even once is the worst thing you can do. Never save. And you have to beat the game in one sitting or you aren't even a gamer.

If it feels like a waste of time, then there is likely more pressing matters in your life and you need to deal with them first.
Gt7 is pretty darn good :) If you have friends, do some gaming with them. If you have kids, do some gaming with them.

I save a lot because if I do die, I don't want to go back and redo everything I just did.
It's a game. Play how you want to.

There are 120 million Switches on the market. Smash Ultimate is a 30 million seller, far and away the best-selling fighting game of time.
There are plenty of people who will buy the console and the game. Way, way, way more people than Nintendo needs to for them to be profitable. They are swimming in cash, drowning in profit, and you're questioning why they don't do it your way. You do understand that, yes?
> man fuck nintendo and their bullshit consoles
Then don't play the game and stop bitching about it.

Which is saying something since it just gets worse every season.

You are kind of wasting your time. Like it's not productive unless you feel you are getting something worthwhile for it. For some people it might be they make money streaming, others ot could help them wind down after work or whatever. But at the end of the day people spend thousands of hours played in games and nothing to show for it. Maybe stick to doing it in little slots of time once a week or so with a buddy or two with a few snacks and drinks and have a casual gaming session and leave it at that

Yeah. God of war was its own thing back in the day. Nobody could do hack n slash so satisfying. How do you remake it? You do another goddamn third person immersice mature white beard upset guy that's actually cool type of game.
It's a good game but also are all the other in the same boat

This really frustrates me. Sure it was long but I felt the story (while somewhat repetitive) was really good and I played it twice.

I’ve only played Knight and that was loads of fun IMO. The world seemed a little too big at first but was fun. I want to play City, IDK about Asylum yet. Maybe if the trilogy comes to switch I’ll buy because switch is my main console. (Don’t judge I like portability and convienence).

agreed. This is one of those situations where the game is so massive there might just be a lot of people who get caught up doing whatever they feel like doing and never really progress the main story forward. I know that I'm that way with Skyrim. I've never once completed the story for Skyrim on any platform, ever, but I've sunk about 100 hours into it on Steam.

You’re entitled to your opinion on everything else, and the game does have its merits, but I’ve got to know - what is it that you feel is “totally original”? Everything I’ve seen playing it looks and feels extremely derivative.

Ditto, still trying to finish it but honestly I'm not giving a crap about the story and the camera-centric combat system is just not very good compared to so many other games (Souls, DMC, etc)

It is not. It’s made by Arcade1Up however I added Szabo’s Arcades accessories to it for a more premium look. The marquee that it comes with is washed out, and it didn’t have the Nintendo branding on it. Szabo made one that is true to the original arcade.

Yes great song/soundtrack. I always loved "Blue fields" or the overworld theme. Thought it set the tone of the game so well.
