I keep trying to give them a chance, I don't know why.......... But then I hit all this online multiplayer co-op stuff and I lose interest.

I don't like online co-op, and tend not to buy any games with a focus on it. It's just not fun exploring PvE environments with another person pressuring you to keep going. But Monster Hunter tricks me every few years.

A lot of jobs. There are a few job sims like Trucker games and a few programming games, but most jobs don’t really have corresponding games

Remember when PC gamers laughed at console people arguing over what was better, PlayStation or Xbox? They freak out when they have to download a free launcher

And somehow DayZ, even though I have hundreds of hours in it. I stopped playing before it went out of Beta.

Oh and Arma 3. I think I put 10 minutes into it. Shot a team mate, realized it wasn't for me.

I feel like there are a lot of games that involve caring about NPCs like Stardew or Persona

Disco Elysium. I like the voice acting but I'm not much of a reader.

God of war ragnorok . Probably got about 5 hours in and quit playing. Just didn't pack the same punch as the 2018 game for me.

I've put about 300 hours into every Civ game since 2. They are quite fun if they are a type of game you like playing.

Cyberpunk 2077, Far Cry 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

How would I know if they're the 'best' if I didn't play them.

Those launchers are litterally why i just refuse to buy certain games

Also origins, ubisoft and epic games. So tons of launchers. Also you need a seperate account for them and in ubisoft theres no achivments on steam. Which means you could essentialy buy it off the launchers itself. I did that mistake with almost all ubisoft games. I just could of cracked them or bought them off ubisoft.

KOTOR 1 combat doesn't hold up, but the rest does for sure. You get over it though. Played them fairly recently and it was even better than 20 years ago (because I'm older now and better at games).

Gog galexy or playnite will fix that right up for you, able to combine your games and launchers into one. Doesnt mean you wont have to still download the other launchers but you will get to ignore them alot more.

I get what you’re saying but when you see how successful games like Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures anthology, the TellTale games, etc, I think there is still a place in the market for fixed cameras.

I don't know about other people, but I know I'm refunding immediately if I have to use an awful launcher like Origin.
