Yeah. The data they can pull from a person using their own launcher is probably one of theain reasons they force a launcher. Well that and control. Lol

But yeah there's a lot of worth in knowing your demographic and gaming habits. It may even pull data while it's just sitting on the background not being used depending on your countries privacy laws.

It's why companies like Facebook and Google fight tooth and nail to protect their data collection abilities.

Nintendo Switch has more family friendly games. As others said, get the Switch, not the switch lite. The lite is only handheld.

Get Pro controllers, if adults are going to play. You can use the joy cons (the controllers that come with it), but they're small and hurt your hands after a while. It comes with an attachment to make a bigger controller, if you need that, but then it's only 1 player. So a separate controller for each adult.

I also recommend buying digital games, unless you have complete control over the games. If your son is going to be switching them out, just get the digital games. My kids lost so many games because the game cards are tiny and they're not careful with them.
