The recent Hitman games are soooo good. Playing all 3 with the upgrades that came with the third entry is such an amazing experience. I played through them all back-to-back a year or two ago and was 100% absorbed. I only wish there more of those sniper game mode maps from the second one.

L take.

The lore is the best part. Ancient civilization who predicted the future to send a message to modern day via a message to a distant predecessor, with ancient societies battling over the relics they left behind and are behind some of the most momentous moments in history is cool.

Ya'll can cry about modern day segments but Unity and Syndicate are on nobodies top lists and they cut out the modern day stuff.

Most don’t emphasize story, or character development of most of the cast, when there is a story it can be a slog or even nonsensical or padded to where they create conflict for no real reason just to pad how many fights are in a story. Most have the same mode, arcade, story for respective cast members, online, extras such as galleries. Most try to sell cosmetics different outfits and color schemes, see DOA and Marvel v Capcom see the aforementioned examples as the same for nonsensical story and character development.

All in all the online play can be repetitive too but still be fun. I don’t really play fighting games anymore I play one on an active basis, and it can get really frustrating a lot of the time, not even really the player base but the game itself.

They may try to add or change mechanics for no real reason, they might say it is for balance but you find there are ways to exploit that new “balancing” issue. If u enjoy fighting games good on u, but they can get repetitive and if you play too many they can all feel the same. But I mean the same can b said for rpgs, fps’s, adventure, playforming, cuz in their respective genres they all tend to borrow from each other.

Well I can see people not having the motivation to learn the frame data for most characters if they want to stand a chance.

Fighting games generally have a mich higher skill ceiling than other games so the difference between someone invested and someone casually dabbling is much greater than in other genres, so at a lower level it may seem repepetive because you "just get beat up"
