What kind of movies or books or tv are your favorite?

Stardew Valley is a solid casual game that almost anyone at any age and any gaming experience can enjoy. Life is Strange is easy gameplay and a solid narrative. Baby games but good games.

But without knowing preferences hard to recommended stuff.

Weird ass decisions were made on all sides with this game. Whoever thought “yeah totally put it on Xbox but no online capability though. Give that to switch players. Everyone will love that” should straight up not work in this industry. Such a completely boneheaded and counterintuitive move.

Easily one of the best games I've played in the past 5 years. I went into it expecting a "merely good" Sony exclusive, but enjoyed every minute and bought the frozen wilds dlc immediately after completing the main game. Great story, great graphics, great gameplay, great mechanics. It's not revolutionary, but damn it's fun and engaging.

EDIT: p.s. Dunno your philosophy on gaming, but I played it on easy mode so that I could focus on the narrative and blow the crap out of the dino-mechs without too much stress.

I think Demon Souls is a good example of this. The game was fully rebuilt from the ground up and took a game that was really showing it’s age and made it feel like a new game.

Yes a remaster probably isn’t worth it since it’s a fresh coat of paint. But with a remake so much of the game is actually updated and feels much better to play. Less clunk more funk.

It's basically a simplified Elder Scrolls game with real people running around.

Quests don't have much player impact, but they're good lore dumps and you get to explore the world and lore of everything.

It's very easy open world, lots of stuff to do especially if you like crafting, and it's all about lore and just living your best life in Tamriel.

Not to me. Most modern games eventually arrive at a point where there's grind required to proceed. I don't like grind. It's not fun to me.

I also lose interest when the gameplay loop has nothing to offer other than upgrades on the same old pattern. After a while doing the same thing to beat the same enemies/bosses who basically only come in a few flavors just with longer health bars and different colors or designs is of no interest to me.

I also have a busy life and I don't always have time to grind to be able to continue the game or fight the 3000th variation of the same mobs I was fighting when I started, so I find other things to do with my time that's actually productive for me, or more fun.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix. If I remember correctly, the game was shadow dropped on the 3ds eshop and there's still no physical version.

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure. This does have a physical rrlease but had VERY limited stock so the eshop is one of the only ways you can get it without having to gamble with ebay.

Harmoknight is also a good eshop only game made by Gamefreak around the time Gen 5 was released.

Complicated answer. Lore wise, its an absolute triumph, but I don't think dungeon crawling is a much fun as it is in Skyrim. Gameplay is very action MMO with hotbars rather than the more simple but immersive Elder Scrolls typical combat. You'll basically want to 3rd person the game to do any of the more challenging content. Leveling system is really liberating and the game does a good job making it feel more relevant than GW2 where you wake up at cap and have no idea how the game works. Housing system and collection is really cool. Its a mesh of the two genres but it depends what you like about the series.
