Reply to Is the Xbox controller (specifically the one for the series S/X) really that prone to button problems? by SirRoderic
Yes, the Xbox Series controllers aren't as reliable as an Xbox 360 controller. I've had 3 controllers with joystick drift and one with an x button issue
Always get a warranty for these things.

The 2008 reboot in this image wasn’t universally praised though, it got a more mixed reception. I don’t think most people associate Prince of Persia with this iteration.
2003’s Sands of Time though, that was a game changer. It is surprising to me that one hasn’t been brought to modern consoles in one form or another.

It had very mixed reception, so I doubt Ubisoft would risk rereleasing it. Heck, even if they did it probably end up like the Sands of Time remake.

Not exactly as replayable like a Roguelite because the world is the exact same after you die

Epic Mickey. It's a brilliantly dark take on forgotten aspects of classic Disney. It also expands Mickey character in a way that's rarely seen before. He's much more than just a corporate mascot for little kids.

Reply to Would you play a free to play infinite roguelike whose only microtransaction was permanently unlocking permadeath for a single character / run and what do you think the fair price per character for this kind of monetization should be? by LasciviousApemantus
I wouldn't play that game, no. If the base game was balanced well, I might pay for different game modes that could include different death mechanics, but I wouldn't pay to throw off the balance in a game I liked as is. Throw in a few achievements and put it up on steam and I might pay for almost no changes, just to support the dev(s) (I did it for Tales of Maj'Eyal).

Yeah the game was more intense with the player hostile system, never knew who your friends were, lots of paranoid scenarios that played out whenever someone new joined lol. Pk vs PKK started in diablo 1 lol. The old ear trade will always be missed by me. D2 was the death of all of that. Nice to see some games emulate it in a way, it honestly felt similar as random encounters with other players in games like tarkov.

Elden ring doesn't have the replayability of a procedurally generated world say something like dead cells or risk of rain 2 Not saying it's bad tho...

Depends on what I want. Lately I mostly bounce back and forth between Witcher 3, Xcom 2, and Darkest Dungeon. I like having a lot of strategic options on how to progress through a game.

The aesthetic aged pretty well. If Ubisoft likes History+Mythology+Fantasy so much, I don't get why they don't revisit the Prince of Persia franchise again, instead of tarnishing the brand of Assassin's Creed.
