So happy I waited. I was a sucker for several products that got dropped

The Quest 1 will continue to work just fine. It won't be getting any further updates. In a world where VR development is going to a break neck pace, and with all the costs that entails it is really not unreasonable.

I didn't like foldable devices the first time they presented them decades ago, and I won't like them now.
It's a cool nifty concept but in practical use is beyond annoying.

It wasn’t marketed to cutting edge VR enthusiasts. It was marketed to average people. Phones going out of service while they’re still useful is not an industry behavior to laud. It’s an anti-consumer money grab that contributes to huge piles of e-waste

When I buy an expensive tech gadget from a multi-billion dollar company, I expect it to be supported for more than a couple years. For some of us, this was a major purchase on par with buying a new computer

Nice they also have some cases that hold the switch with the grip for travel. Been really happy with mine so far. I also picked up a portable dock and it lives in the grip now docked or handheld mode.
I tried a pro grip setup but found the weight distribution a bit uncomfortable on a longer session, was nice for heat distribution though.

I'm not a monitor-stand kind of guy, but have been looking for a good docking station for my laptop. This looks pretty nice.

Me too. Gave up immediately when I saw the price they were going for. I'll come back later when they're reasonable maybe

They’re rare AF now. I have 8 x Pi 3b (purchased 4 years ago) that I use for a low level back up storage, but I’ve been trying to get my hands on a decently priced Pi4 for so fucking long that I’ve just given up

That's bizarre. You'd think you could prevent that with STP, but I don't really know a lot about how these docks are set up. I assume it's just a fancy switch, though.

Yeah. The important thing is that they are getting the lion’s share of the margin on it. If you’re paying $300 for the chip as a part of the product, they’re keeping $250 instead of 150.

It says payments as low as $23 with Klarna. $23!! If the payments were $24 lower, they’d be giving you money. You can’t afford not to buy this.
