That's a nice idea, but maybe encourage some developers to make games couch co-op instead of 1-4 Network Players. I'm so sick of multiplayer being nearly exclusive to players with two consoles.

I have a cradle too. But it's a POS and the controllers fall out very easily. Just a frustrating experience all around.

We have a "charging dock" and always have one or two controllers charging... the main reason we have multiple is because of the shit battery life.

We have one PS3 controller that gets VERY occasional use as a streaming device and we charge it like twice a year. When covid was in full swing I replayed Red Dead 1 and it lasted about 3 days with constant use before needing to be charged. And it weighs less than the PS4 controller...

Stick drift problems like the whole industry still has had forever, and weak springs in the triggers on earlier controllers. Besides that they're okay, although I personally would prefer replaceable batteries that can charge separately in a cradle. like the Xbox ones.

Exactly. So many people whining about how "GPU prices are going up, XXX card being too expensive, XX60-class card being sold for XX80 class money", and I'm just like, you can choose to not buy them? Nobody is forcing gamers to buy the latest GPUs

I don't game often but when I do, I play 10+ hours. In that time I have to switch controller after about 5 - 6 hours. Depends on the game and how many features of the new PS5 controllers they are using. IMO batteries in PS5 controllers don't last as long as batteries in PS4 controllers.

So there, one controller is not enough for me.

Got this. It’s entirely a gimmick. The GC’s rightside button layouts are incompatible with the standard diamond shaped pattern. Many games will require you to completely rethink your button presses. I put it down after one use and it’s been in a drawer ever since.

Never said they're being unethical. And of course a business has the goal of profit. Just stinks that every company has adapted this habit of charging extra for every little detail they can.

Nah, most people don't care about that. Most people would welcome two controllers in their bundle.

Most gamers aren't as obsessed as the ones on reddit.

With all due respect, they're not doing anything unethical. If you're willing to pay for exactly the same product functionally with some aesthetic changes, it makes total sense to charge you for it.

You're willing to pay for every little detail and variation.

You don't have to purchase it. Just use a normal controller.

And there lies the beauty of the closed ecosystem. Especially when they tout technology like this as being an Apple innovation....when it's not. Prices will never come down.

I'm assuming AirPods will now only work with iDevices.
