It can be straining sometimes with a regular monitor. This screams vision problems.

Exactly! It would be cool to look at for about 15 minutes. But working on this daily for 8 hours or more?
If studio would demand us to use this for work I would quit!

The Yetis with the MagSlide caps are splash proof but not leakproof. All the other Yeti caps I own (Chug cap and Hot Shot Cap) are all leakproof.

My exes dad had the idea for the salad spinner, and his dad took him to a patent office and gave his idea away to the person there because it was “stupid and nobody would use it” and I’m sure we all know how that went.. lol… He would get drunk and sadly rant about it pretty often 😅😕

I do have a question! Are the Yeti’s leak proof overall do you know or should I be looking for that specifically? Because this ridiculous $12 Starbucks one says not leak proof but they are most leak proof thing I have ever owned lmao

My only gripe is their mag slide lids are pretty meh. Not sure how they haven’t fixed them yet

I have one! I need to shop around tho, I’m not finding the design that works for me in terms of insulation (as I’m trying to find a Starbucks sub lol)

Yea bro. The Walmart brand ozark trail knock off yetis are great. I think I paid $9 for the 32oz one and $7 for a 20oz one. Both are a few years old now and work great still. Keeps my coffee warm from 8am through early/mid afternoon, and I didn’t have to spend $40 or $200

Won’t be $12, but Yetis will still be around and are damn well insulated

My $12 thermos from Starbucks (metal and well insulated) keeps ice for 12+ hours lol even if in the sun. Shit is black magic. They stopped making these at some point and I am gonna fucking cry when my last one finally gets lost or the lid breaks.

Are you being serious? You can get many reasonably good quality HDTVs for $2-250 all day, and even less around the holidays and around the superbowl. It won't be 4K or smart, but it will be a solid display that the average person will think looks outstanding in their home.

I mean, you can use those Themos cups at home, too - something made you buy the Ember, and that same thing will make people buy this one.

As a 3D designer as well, I’d probably go crazy looking at it for more than 2 minutes. I just move the model around to get a sense of depth. I can’t see the appeal of working 8 hours on this.

I didn't invent it. I never made it. I only had the plans drawn up for it. I wasn't trying to impress anyone. I doubt I'm the first one to have that idea. I bet others were also told by professionals and scholars that it wasn't possible. My point was: don't listen to people when they say you can't do something.
I can't say that I would have perfected it, or even been able to market it, but I kick myself for not even trying, just because someone I looked up to said it wouldn't work.

I agree with you for the MUG. I have two, bought one for myself, got one as a gift. I like the consistency AND the fact that I can get a push notification when my coffee has cooled to my ideal temperature - since I brew at a temp higher than I want to drink.

Tbh I am enjoying my ember mug more than I thought I would. I didn't even buy it myself, it was a gift.
The thing about it being consistent is why I like it. Without it, the drink is either going to be super hot or I forget about it while cooling down and it becomes cold.

AIO's have their place to be sure, but they failed in the consumer sector. The only real example left standing is the iMac.
