Sigh. Webcam is hideous. Its not ultra wide, and only 32"?? WTH Dell. Everyone in our company uses at least a 34 ultrawide, most going larger.

For a business / professional targeted AR/VR that’s typical pricing, about the same as units from Microsoft and Quest. I agree it‘s not the consumer market pricing, where the $399 Quest 2 dominates.

Especially if it’s actually very good and can work with PCVR (unlikely on that count I guess)
VR is a bit of a minefield of weak offerings still, so enthusiasts will buy anything that’s an improvement

r/sffpc awaits. Lots of people build powerhouses and strap on a big screen, then put it in a flight case for travel. At a certain point a laptop of 27” is not more convenient than the flight case solution, you could even just buy an all-in-one pc and a case for it.

>But apple and samsung would be at the top of my list for people most likely to make such a move.
Apple will do it first, then Samsung will put out an ad mocking the move only to do the same thing in the next phone iteration or two, as is tradition.

But then when you game on the go, you're stuck on your laptop's tiny screen. The whole point of a laptop with a big screen is to have access to that display wherever you go.

Zuck’s obscene investment in vr forced a lot of company’s hands to demonstrate that they are competitive in high tech. Headsets will never see mass market representation

But at that point you might as well just connect a 30" monitor to your laptop and go with a smaller laptop.

They use a special mount and the back of the TV is designed to absorb the mouth height.

Everyone who uses a gaming laptop uses it on a tabletop anyway. Nobody actually games with it in their lap.
27" might be excessive, but they could easily make a 20" gaming laptop and it wouldn't be too bulky. Dell had one a few years ago and it was fairly portable; it basically folded into a briefcase that was very easy to carry.

Yeah, one thing I always thought was nifty. Glad it's coming to more phones, since I wouldn't change to Apple just for that feature.

Yeah, this isn't a gadget to sit down alone on your couch and game. It's intended to be a wearable that you can walk around with and interact with others while getting mixed reality info. Like for having meetings and presentations where you can display graphics over your real world landscape.

Do you work for Dell marketing or something? Or is this just thick sarcasm I'm too tired to see through?
> Included HDMI 2.1(perfect for consoles)
Oh yeah, console owners are totally going to drop more on a 32" monitor than their console costs - a monitor with a resolution their console won't even support.
> This monitor even has DUAL 15W speakers
Not once in the history of modern monitors was someone who actually cares about their monitor excited that it has inbuilt speakers.
