Exactly! This would be cool for me because I already have type 1 diabetes and kidney issues/stones/infections. I get labs done every 3 months, I know what levels I am looking for, and if I can pay 500 dollars once (and it worked well enough), I'd be very happy.

Um... "Don't give lots of money to blonde women from wealthy families who have a daddy/middle child inferiority complex and a seemingly impossible business model with technology they insist is purely proprietary even though it kinda looks like an elaborate 1/4 of a square schematic that's an anagram of iZOPN?"

Generally makes sense to me. Waist battery pack isn’t elegant but cutting the head-unit’s weight in half is great for wearability. And it makes it easy to pick a huge extended life battery for some use cases, so people car wear AR all day. The only ‘bummer’ is the pricing, but $3k is typical for business-oriented AR/VR gear, so if just means it is targeted there, and at hardcore pro users, not home consumers. At least initially. Typical for Apple - focus on the high value, profitable market segments and let someone else try to run businesses with the money-losing lower value, lower priced segment. And over time Apple can drive down costs and expand down-market, or drive up perceived value, etc.

Running iOS apps in AR is brilliant - that gives them easy access to a huge App Library covering a wide range of use cases conveniently.

Back when I had the C vs G dilemma, I ended up just getting the CX 65" and creating a finished inset/hole with a heavy duty mounting arm tucked in there. So the arm and any excess backing of the TV could be pressed right into the wall. It gets pretty close to flush - and I could probably get it even closer with some wiggling. I think I saved like $5k, if I'm remembering the GX price at the time.
